Sirena’s super-cruiser fleet of modernist trawler yachts gets a new addition with this four ensuite cabin model.

With some serious 1,500nm range and space to spare inside and out, the 78 looks a typical Sirena, but is notable as the first model from this Turkish yard to feature a semi or fully-enclosed flybridge, giving this yacht a superyacht feel and making it even more attractive to liveaboard owners.

A conventional ‘open’ flybridge model is still available but the enclosed models have some interesting knock-on effects. Here, Sirena does away with the lower helm, creating one big, open salon that shifts from lounge to an enormous kitchen and a dining area that overlooks the bow through forward screens. The more obvious benefit is a flybridge that feels like an upper deck lounge, with a bar and freestanding beach club furniture.

Power for all 78 models comes from MAN, the semi-displacement hull hitting 24-26 knots depending on horsepower. But it is the 1500nm mile range that feels more important.

Reminds me of a catamaran layout, especially in the main salon. They do great work and I've never heard anyone who owns a Sirena complain about it. I would love one

Stunning yacht! People at Sirena know their trade!
  • Perfect . Interior looks terrific! Sensible config -would pobably go for fully enclosed pilot house .

Top quality review. You and Jack are really in a league of your own.
  • Nice to hear the sound in the different cabins while underway. Would you please do the same for the Cranchi 67 and 78? That would be highly appreciated

This main deck could have really been something interesting if it had doors/was open on both ends - so it would have a full height glass door, & bigger windows, at the front end instead of the redundant cabinetry which somehow it seem like a dead end street.

Don’t always line the material used, but they are beautiful yachts!

When offering customized yachts, I always wonder if design changes and the additional options on the upper deck significantly raise the centre of gravity and negatively affect the righting moment? How do they reflect those changes in seagoing capability and share this perspective in dealing with a customer?

I really love the layout and the finished of the 78 And 88. But I wouldn't buy one it has a range of 1600 miles that's ok if you cruising around the Mediterranean but there's a big world out there which I would like to explore and doing 1600 doesn't even get you across the Atlantic

I liked the 68. I think this 78 is horriblely laid out. The main deck looks cramped. The stairs going up come out into the middle of the walkway. The stairs going down are a fall hazard. The galley and dining area is a disaster. As for the crew area they should be ashamed of themselves for that design. The helm is just as bad. No visibility to far back. Who has a coastal cruiser with a helm with no protection from the weather. Literally the crew would have no where to go. This would make me reconsider purchasing any yacht from them.
