Heroscape fans are furious at the news announced yesterday. Even though I personally don't think it's terrible. This community is never happy.

  • It’s a lot per figure, especially painted, but I’m just stoked to get new releases. When they do start releasing common squads they’ll have to lower the price point because no way people can afford 65$ per squad.

Saying this stuff is cheaper than war hammer is setting a low bar. Gold bullion is cheaper than Warhammer.

9 $ per mini unpainted is still really expensive when compared to mini nowadays, not even the prices 20 years ago, even compared to something like GW since the quality is clearly lower. 12 $ per painted mini is more reasonable, but still quite steep. I understand the backlash, gotta admit.
  • Look at Scrooge McDuck and his moneybags over here 😆 great vid, one point of clarification is that Avalon Hill and the War Council designed these to be fully backwards compatible with classic scape a la Iron Lich Viscerot, not Renegade
  • My only complaint, and it’s not even complaint but an oddity, I just think it’s weird that there’s 0 terrain in the army expansions. And yet they’re the same price as the Battle box….thats weird right??

As an X-Wing refugee, $13 per painted figure sounds like a steal. Be thankful for what you have! 😅
  • I have never seen someone so excited about SPARKLEY WATER!?!?!? No fandom hates a fandom more than its fans. Thanks for making videos to entertain us.

As an oldtime fanatic with still an olympic collection sitting in bins, I can't justify the new relases unfortunately. Price being 1 dealbreaker, and its just 2nd or 3rddary to my priorities rn, but I'm still pretty happy to see it and how the figures have that same og kind of style. The lacking depth in character function and design bothers me more these days, but it's still quite cool to see how they unfold unique new ideas. I look forward to watching the progress of the revival, and may still pull the trigger on something someday if I'm drawn in enough.

People upset at these prices would have an aneurysm if they looked at 40k
  • @JustRollandGo
What's the mic and camera you use? Those are nice. Thanks
  • @WaynePeacock
8-12 for an unpainted mini sounds about right . Battletech players sometimes use ‘scape Terrain.
  • The common squads better be 30 bucks a pop tops. No way in hell I’m buying more than two of a common squad if they’re more than 30 bucks a pop. WE NEED DUNGEON TERRAIN AND OUTCROPS ASAP! I have 5 Road to the Forgotten Forest but I’d welcome new woodland trees.😅

I’m so excited it’s back! Yea it’s a bit on the steep side but shouldn’t be too bad. One set a month I guess lol. I know renegade mentioned it would be selling in game store but have they mentioned anything about Walmart or target? Lager chains to sell?
  • I just bought a pack of 15 Roman’s for only 100$ so it’s hard to buy into the new stuff when I still get good deals on old stuff, if they came out with some decent priced common squads that I can use with my old stuff I’d be much more interested
  • @lordnovas
Very cool minis, can't wait for the core set.
  • Those prices are pretty standard for mini games these days.

kind of sad we arent seeing more OG characters from the game before but happy they're already sending out some expansions. I think its weird they are offering pre-painted minis. At this day and age pretty much every game requires you to paint unless youre playing basic dnd
