Here's another extremely important tip (or rather warning): TORRENT'S DOUBLE JUMP DOES NOT NEGATE FALL DAMAGE
  • @OhMercyMe
here's another horse trick: Torrent can walk through poison and other gross swamp areas without suffering any status ailments
  • @BarryBizzle
Another tip: The enemies in the mines carrying the minerals on their backs; They are often weak to fire damage and sometimes even explode with just 1 hit from your torch.
  • @SolemnVisitor
The getting coated in poison when rolling in it mechanic was in Dark Souls 2, and for those who don't know- you can use the Soap item to clean that off and stop the build up
  • @Corsiare
Dunno if beginners notice it enough, but the glowing skulls laying around on the ground that you can kick around, can actually be broken for a rune item, 200 runes per pop. Or ran over with Torrent. Super useful early on.
  • @Gnagniel
Minor horse tip: if you're having trouble with some trickier parkour sections, invest in the Telescope item. If used on horseback, it will allow you to rotate Torrent in place without the extra forward or backward movement

Thank you for making and sharing this video! Two years ago, at the age of 72, I purchased my first ever gaming system a PS 4 Pro. I've played several COD's, God of War, GTA, AVC, Ghost recon Breakpoint, Wildlands, and Division 2 which I obtained the platinum trophy. Earlier this year, I was able to buy a PS 5 and 4K monitor so I bought Ghost of Tsushima! WOW!!!! A week ago, I bought Elden Ring. I've been getting my butt kicked and die a100 or times or more a day. I'm going to use your tips to try and make some progress.

The caves where you find upgrade materials are found in the "burned" parts of the map. little burned hole looking spots.

Basic Tip that I know a lot of people missed. Crafting throwables like fire urns require Cracked Urns but they seem rare for most players. So they don't craft them. However Cracked Urns are not consumed in the making of Throwables. Instead they simply act like Flask Charges for Throwables. The more Cracked Urns you fine the more throwables you can have at one time. So don't feel afraid to craft throwables in the game.

You were right, there is one guy who didn't know you could attack to your left on your horse. Thanks! I can't believe I never even did it accidently throughout 34 hours of play.

Major tip: You can pause the game if you go to inventory and press the "menu explanation" button.

Great video! Something to add to the rainbow stone is that if it lands and turns yellow, it means you’ll take fall damage. If it’s green it means you won’t :)

The part of demi-humans is actually on a note one of the merchants have. Not sure which one, but i read it ingame. Those notes all cost 200 runes and is actually really useful

Another tip I just figured out after 30 hours. You get more runes at night when you see the golden leaves of the Erdtree raining down. I think it applies the same buff as the gold-pickled fowl foot.

I really hope the Devs are proud of themselves. I mean that. This game is a masterpiece, and I hope they feel proud of what they've made, and how much love it's getting.

There's a really cool, super niche hidden mechanic in a weapon nobody ever uses - Crystal Darts! When you hit an enemy enough times with Crystal Darts, it causes them to frenzy and attack everything around them. For me, this turned the Watchdog fight at the Minor Erdtree Catacombs from "broken statue of Marika" to "Wait for one of the bosses to kill the other and have 3/4ths of its health depleted."

I went to the Mistwood and found an elevator inside this big structure. I went inside figuring it was just another mini dungeon. Waited on the elevator for almost 30 seconds as it took me down into these huge, underground ruins. There is so much cool stuff to see in this game it’s unreal.

Here's another really useful tip i just realised: when on horseback, you only need to press the sprint button once to keep moving fast. You don't have to keep holding it like in previous souls games. Torrent will start walking slowly again when you fall down to a lower platform, but then just press sprint again once to start moving fast

Another tip... if you're really trying to get down somewhere and aren't sure if the fall will kill you or not, go to the edge and attack using a combo that typically advances you (don't press forward, just attack). If the fall is fatal, you'll stop at the edge. If the fall is safe, you'll end up going off the edge.

Another tip- I have so many - when you pull up the map, press triangle (ps5) Then press square to quickly travel to the round table- No more dragging the cursor all over the map
