  • Top #5: Take a step back if you're overwhelmed. Returnal: THIS AREA IS LOCKED DOWN

Fun tip with the sword: you can use it to bypass the momentum loss at the end of an air dash. Slash the sword as you're approaching the end of your dash boost and you will carry the momentum from the dash. This can allow you to cross certain gaps that usually require a grappling hook to traverse, netting you more resources/gear opportunities earlier in the game before you get the grappling hook.
  • The devs managed to make a game more difficult and confusing than finding a PS5. And somehow, I’m hooked. Lol

I went back and took on an older boss yesterday and he gave me a terrible reference and now my new boss doesn't want me either! Thanks a bunch, Returnal!
  • You can shoot and break statues with yellow eyes for some money. You can let tentacles grab you and use them as elevators. Also, don't just rush into the center of a new area. Scout a little. There are area triggers for different group of enemies in some room. So go in, walk slow, listen. Take out first waves of enemies. Then walk a little further. Spawned some more. Repeat.

I’m freaking obsessed with Returnal. And yet I’m not good at it at all!
  • I would take that to the game I'm loving it, no matter how many times I die, I replay it again and again and again, I'm still at the first boss 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I’ve just started playing and for the first couple of hours felt very uncertain about what I was trying to achieve and how to build up my character. I’m really enjoying the action and pace of the game. Thanks this video was very useful
  • I’d also recommend changing jump to L1 and item to X, since being able to aim while jumping can give an extra edge in battle.
  • After I got the blade, it changed the entire game. The blade slaps so hard
  • Returnal has the best gameplay of any game I’ve ever played. It’s butter smooth, fun and incredibly responsive.

This game gives me the same feelings I had with Resogun. I just feel like a kid again when playing it. It's the arcade feeling, plus it being a rogue-lite, and it being released with the PS5 like Resogun did with PS4, it just feels good. Like the Christmas season type of feeling.

Using the echo when comming in a new room/area is helpfull to overlook the area, and even spot enemies once you saw them!
  • @angelbinet2407
This game requires so much focus . I feel rewarded with every little enemy I kill, let alone a biome 😭😭
  • Where was this when I started playing it!! Lol. I needed this video.
  • @JustinTracey
I would add: Don't forget about your alt-fire, in combat and in deciding weapon pick ups, and Change dash to R3. Doing that change allows you to dash without taking your thumb off the stick or finger off the trigger. This has greatly improved my runs.

This game is very intense. Gives you an adrenaline rush playing it 😄

Once I tried to escape to other room to take a breath and entered a challenge room by mistake. D'oh!
  • @Justin-ym5ce
I have 220% health, 3 extra lives, max weapon upgrades, they say your suppose to die to enjoy this game but it’s so hard to just let all your progress go, I think that’s going to be a big frustration with this game
