Real pats fans know how important Drew was and still is to us. He made us relevant.
  • Drew, all of us old Pats fans love and admire you. Gunslinger and a gentleman. You look like you could play today.
  • Drew Bledsoe made the New England Patriots relevant in the NFL. I got his rookie card. First NFL jersey. Pats fan for life. Drew is as classy as it comes.
  • Drew handled that situation with as much class as anyone in his situation could have. He could have become a cancer on that team and divided the locker room, but he didn't. True dawg!
  • Alot of people forget that during the 2001 run, bledsoe stepped in, in the playoffs and won a playoff game for the pats. Its probable without him there wouldn't have been a dynasty.
  • Drew is a class act. When he left us here in New England for Buffalo he took out the entire back page of the Boston Globe thanking the fans for all the great memories we gave him. We will always love Drew.

Really great interview with Drew. He deserves more recognition for how good he was. Glad to find out how successful he's been after football.

Drew is a legend. There was no way he could have known he would or better yet deserved to be somehow associated with Tom Brady’s shadow. The guy is a phenomenal talent and we all love him. Such great insight and words of wisdom from a man who must have been through a roller coaster life. Cheers Drew đŸ»

Marino vs Bledsoe in the 1994 opener at Miami is one of the greatest regular season games imo it was the young gunslinger against the old gunslinger coming off a major injury. What a game!!!!! Dolphins won 39-35.

Real Patriots fans know that Bledsoe is the man. He showed a whole generation of young fans what it means to be a teammate and how to lead by example. The guy is pure class. Not alot of people would be able to handle getting replaced and benched by a younger teammate not once but twice in his career (people forget he was also replaced by Romo).

Watching Drew Bledsoe made me a patriots fan as a kid.

As a lifelong Bostonian and Pats fan who was in my early 20’s in the end of the 90’s, I know how good you were Drew. I remember running into you, ZO, and a few others out and about in Boston, was always a great time. As far as a QB, you completely changed the culture of the Patriots. You were one of the toughest QB’s I’ve ever seen. Winning a game on a TD pass with pins sticking out of your index finger on your throwing hand is legendary. I always thought you should’ve started the SB in ‘01. I always will appreciate what you did here. One last thing, it definitely must’ve felt good when you laid a beating on the Pats game 1 in ‘03 after they cut your boy Lawyer.
  • Drew and Parcels both came in at the right time (Patriots/mid-90's).....and gave us hope,....we were 2-14/dooor-mats before they arrived.
  • I went to Oregon State football camp with Drew as a kid a couple of years in the late 80's. Even then he had the most insane arm I had ever experienced - throwing 50yd field goals on his knees with some other kid from Utah if I remember correctly. Catching a flood from him came in at a speed that was not imaginable. Fantastic person!

Drew looks like he could get out there today and tear it up as a LINEBACKER đŸ’Ș

Thanks, Drew! I've been a fan since 1974. Without you, we never would have been on the map!
  • @Hard_7_Iron
I’m so glad I got to see Drew in Dallas
.short lived, but an all time great!
  • Lifelong Pats fan since '75 and I loved Drew....but meeting Drew "Doubleback" Bledsoe as a wine merchant made me love him even more. His courteous humility and great success in winemaking makes him tops on my list of real people. Miss ya Drew!
