My stepfather was actually in the army with Elvis. Elvis never kept his pay he gave the guys in his barrack his pay. We have several pictures of Elvis in the Army and pictures of Elvis with my stepfather. I told my stepdad those pictures are probably worth some money, but he said it was a part of his life he doesn't care to part with.

One of the greatest songs ever recorded. Pure magic.
  • This was just played at my dear dad’s funeral yesterday. He use to sing it beautifully himself. Tears steaming down my face. RIP dad forever in our hearts. What a beautiful song to leave this world with ❤
  • I met Elvis in 1971 and I did like him. I went backstage and I told his bodyguard that I am a Louisiana boy and I want to meet him. He was a cool guy and it seemed like he was happy to meet me. I was really impressed. Thanks, Elvis.
  • Elvis in the movie: I'm going to be 40 soon... and no one will remember me. My dear Elvis... we are in 2022 and we still remember you. We will always remember you. Thank you so much for giving us your amazing musics.

I’m 72 years old and I remember seeing Elvis on the Ed Sullivan show on TV. Because of his “gyrations” he was only shown from the waist up. I had no idea what he would eventually become. I am so thankful that I had a chance to see his movies and hear his music. He is the King of music and much more. Rest in Peace, Mr. Presley. You left us way too soon but you are singing for God now.🙏

I'm not a diehard Elvis fan, but this is one of my favorite songs by anyone. By far Elvis's best, IMHO.

My Dad would always play this when we go on car rides together and I never appreciated it as much as I do now at the age of 30. Such an amazing song. Every time I listen to it, he crosses my mind. He's going strong at 70, hope he continues to live a meaningful life 🙏🖤
