I like how, as an Oklahoman himself, the director fought to have the film shot on location in Oklahoma instead of having Georgia as a stand-in. So glad he won out in the end.

Honestly I liked the insurance plot line due to the the current underlying issue of real estate developers buying out land after disasters from people. It's predatory due to the position the victims are in. You could actually see this issue happen last year after the big fires in Hawaii.

I consider this to be the official endorsement for seeing the movie

I got a tornado warning the day twisters came out-

Twisters was such an amazing film the fact that put El Reno in it was awesome

Super glad we got the 4K release of Twister alongside this film! I absolutely love both of them! Just got the copy of Twister in 4k yesterday, and they tightened up the sounds, soundtrack, and that one explosion that Jonas’s car caused when it crashed into the ground, (thank God for that)

I like how at the end when Kate is in the "EF5" Tyler's truck is getting slid and moved which shows that A tornado is still dangerous and still deadly and no matter how much spikes (or oggers) are dug in the ground, you can still get lofted into the tornado

Yes! It was excellent! I don't understand why people were expecting a carbon copy of the original, that's impossible. This is its own thing with its own story line and it was absolutely fantastic! The small references to the original were fun and just enough to honor it. I'm also glad the characters weren't overly romanticized - their growing relationship didn't overpower the story. It definitely wasn't Bill and Joe and Mellissa love triangle like, "she didn't sign the papers?" 😂

I got excited (and scared) when I heard/saw the tornado sirens. I thought, "Swegle will love this!" I also loved it when Kate and her friends discussed hiding in the overpass and she said, "No! That's the WORST place to be during a tornado!" But they literally had no other choice.

Twisters was an amazing film

Overall I liked it, I liked how down to earth it felt with the characters and story. I was surprised how much I liked the characters by the end of the movie. Although what was javi thinking driving in front of the tornado with Kate who clearly has PTSD from the tornado at the start of the movie.

Saw it the day it came out. I really loved the details and El Reno Easter egg. I really also loved the mental health aspect of it. That was really awesome! I would recommend watching it.

Only thing missing was the original soundtrack. I don’t know why they passed up on having Mark Mancina (who wrote the soundtrack for Twister) do it. He even offered to and they still passed on him. Otherwise it was amazing!

It was a pretty good movie. One of my main problems were tornadoes that showed up with little to no warning. During the rodeo scene, they probably would of evacuated 10-20 minutes beforehand. Same thing with the tornado that hit El Reno. Still a great movie, but it doesn't hit as hard with the nostalgia factor as the original.

I just came back from watching it in IMAX and I LOVED it. The nods to the original movie, El Reno. Just wow! And we actually had a tornado up here in Canada yesterday, puts you in the mood!

Me and my wife took my mother with us to see the movie, so I was just a little worried about what the content was going to be like but once it started, we all were immediately on the edge of our seats and stayed there. I thought the movie was really good and very intense. The theater was packed, and everyone was glued to the big screen. I would definitely give it 4 out 5 stars and would recommend anyone who liked the first movie go see it. Yeah, it didn't have the same magic as the first one, but then again, I haven't seen it a thousand times yet haha.

I loved how Kate's thing with dandelions was a shout-out to Bill in the first film. I like to imagine that she was his daughter or niece.

As soon as I saw the title I instantly agreed with you Swegel

If I remember Reed Timmers' (Dominator 3) review, he said that in theory, using the sodium polyacrylate, could act like a giant sponge. With a big enough of a sponge, it could disrupt the delicate balance that is required for a tornado. He appreciated the "microphysical approach" the movie took. I even think he suggested that this idea has inspired him to even try something like this in real life. Correct me if I'm mistaken.

Even as I watch dedicated review channels - this is the only review I'll be listening to for "Twisters"
