  • Terrific illustrations by Ken Clark. They add clarity and really help to bring the dialogue to life.

I do appreciate the use of individual microphones while in the field. The clarity and reduction of external noises are a great help.

Awesome video. Incredible insights by Dr. Tepper! Nick, thank you for continuing to tell us the geologic story of the PNW in partnership with world class researchers like Jeff Tepper. 👍👍
  • @rhohoho
    Those renderings are fantastic

Wonderful teaching video. The illustrations were so helpful! ❤
  • @F22Studioworks
Kid with the Mariners cap was interested in the conversation. Future geologist.

Thank you Nick and Jeff for this interesting field trip! It is thanks to all your previous series that I was actually able to understand this as Jeff was explaining the context and formation of this rock, and WOW, how about those graphics! They are just perfect. Looking forward to more field trips for the series.
  • @Poppageno
Frelling amazing artwork! Two things I would like to see in the 43 Mya panel; an outline of the current States and an outline of Siletzia. Jeff does a wonderful job of explaining things. Thank to all of you!
  • Thanks for sharing this very interesting and beautiful place. Don't mind the kids ( more like 4th or 5th graders). Informative talk much appreciated
  • @farmermark2067
Thank you for the lesson Nick! Love listening to Jeff's clear and concise description/explanation of the subject at hand. The graphics were excellent. Looking forward to more "in the field" videos in the coming weeks and months.

Jeff "Good Stuff" Tepper...You gotta love him!
  • @Vickie-Bligh
Oh goodness. I am even more thrilled about the Cascade A-Z. This was so informative and those panels not only made sense for this video but brought together so much of what you've taught us before. Thanks, Nick.
  • @pathorgan8643
Thank you for interactively sharing your questions and thought processes, which lets us all share the educational experience as we entered this new series. Great teaching!
  • @douglaspohl1827

  • @alexrandall3685
Echoing others. The illustrations are so helpful in telling the story. Thank you both for a brilliant lesson..
  • @markwalton3706
Great vid Nick and Jeff. Love the linking of Adakite origin to the shallow melting of young ocean crust and HT upper mantle - a slightly different story to the NTM (Near Trench Magma) from previous series where we have interpreted them as being from subduction of a spreading ridge. Love especially that little key field evidence of the rusty hornblende and how it unlocks the story of 'not deep enough' for subduction but 'hot enough' to melt.

Thanks Nick and Jeff!!! Really informative, a great learning experience! Loved the drawings, they pulled it all into focus for me.
