That first check-in agent was really friendly and super professional. She was the best part.
  • As an iranian i always said that its only take one person to embarrassed whole country.last year i was in tehran international airport to send some package and saw a cab driver start lying and scamming a tourist. Its make me fraustrated and also angry so i start to talking to that tourist and decided to give him a ride to his hotel and spend almost 2hours to teach him about common scams and after one week he texted me about gratitude and having the best time in Iran. Josh im very sorry for your experience in iran and i hope you have better luck and experience next time
  • I'm an American & I've met a few Iranians while traveling internationally. Every person I met has always been extremely friendly, polite & a pleasure to be around honestly.

Just for balance.. Imagine you as an American Airways Flgiht Hostess, meeting at work, an Iranian tourist who is consistantly filming every move and word you make. I am sure the American Security guy, flgiht Marshall I think you call them, I am definite he would be keeping a close eye on you, in the least.
  • The first check-in agent was very friendly. When everyone is friendly in a service type company, it is more often than not, because of training and policy, but when someone is friendly in an environment that does not care or train their staff well, then that person is very special because they are real and their style of service is just part of their authentic personality. People like this are rare and are hard to pick out in a company where service is generally good, so I feel you were lucky to have this experience. Not in terms of airline service but for having had this opportunity to meet a genuinely good person.

Secretly filming them is probably the best way to make sure they don’t consider you a spy 😂

Could be worse, I am an Australian and fly Qantas. In court, Qantas recently said they dont actually sell tickets on a particular flight, such as the one you may have thought you booked a flight on. I don't really understand their position, but they said they sell something like the opportunity to fly around about the time you have requested - on a Qantas plane. Fantastic!

I am very surprised how bad the flight was. I have flown with Iran Air myself and have always found the crew in particular to be very friendly and very hard-working. The atmosphere on board was always very special - very pleasant. Iranians are usually very friendly people and you can feel that as soon as you are on the plane. You didn't notice much of that in this film. Maybe people were irritated by the camera.
  • In my view, they kept your passport for so long, because they were researching your identity all over the internet. They then informed all cabin crew that you were not a diplomat or a businessman "but rather" a Youtuber. Hence the whole disregard.

Aww how lovely the cab driver was talking about his daughter😍🥹

I like the ambience of this flight. It's how I wish most would go. Soft, peaceful, and nobody acting overly extraverted. They obviously believe in giving a guy his privacy.

As an Iranian I found this whole video really embarrassing🤦🏻‍♀ So sorry you had an unpleasant experience on that flight. Iranians actually used to be very nice and hospitable people but I feel all the recent economic/societal/political pressures have been taking a toll on them and they've become weird. Also giving tips (and definitely asking for tips!) is not a norm in Iran, and that weird driver that took you to the VIP terminal shouldn't have asked for it, and I wish you had refused to pay him any tip. smh
  • @amirrez
Josh, the ladies at the CIP checkin were discussing your age, apparently the one on right shares a birthday with you. Lol, too funny 😂😂
  • @usmale57
You would never travel on Lufthansa but yet your are going on Iran Air? Amazing!
  • @diane9247
I couldn't help feeling kind of heartbroken for the cab driver, who seemed so afraid he was not getting a tip. He probably earns a few dollars a day and has a hungry family. The people of Iran are, for the most part, the most open and friendly in the world.
  • @american101
The flirting checkin ladies were hilarious! 😂
  • Josh: “This airline is the most sanctioned airline in the world” Air Koryo: are you kidding me?
  • @utaani1
All flights are scary. Doesn't matter what airlines you travelling with

Oh my gosh the way how she threw the tray next to you I guess I could maybe try to judge your favorably that she was the only stewardess working on the whole airplane was she❤
