Thanks to @PewDiePie 's recent video of his journey to spend 100 days drawing, I undertook my own journey to see how far I could go. Through that process, I found a reignited passion for art, I reminded myself of a few key lessons about life, and more important than anything else, I had a heckin' good time. Come check out what 30 days of drawing progress looked like for me!

Very seldomly the youtube algorithm does it's thing and recommends a 400 sub channel that really speaks to you, thanks for telling me what I needed to hear. Your videos are great

This. This is what it means to be an artist. You might be born with a love for drawing but you only get good when you pursue it. Glad non artists are becoming something they thought they never were.

It's crazy how much faster you got at this, and I'm reminded of how that really happens in every discipline, including BJJ, bikes, coding, and even video editing. I'm reminded of a quote by Angela Duckworth in her book Grit (get it and read or listen if you haven't already!): "as much as talent counts, effort counts twice."

Hey, I'm an artist and i've been having problems with lack of motivation recently, but this video really helped me pick up the pencil again :) wishing nothing but the best for you in your own journey <3

Honestly, getting away from things with algorithms has been a godsend in and of itself. They are addictive by design and so fuck up your dopamine system which reduces satisfaction from normal things in life (like all addictions you just feel meh when giving into them but bad when not). Obviously I still use them from time to time but like I'll watch a video on YT over lunch. But the human mind is amazingly adaptable, which is a bit of a double edged sword. Thankfully if you get off social media it only takes a few days for your dopamine system to reset. But the craving, the temptation, to open social media hangs around a lot longer.

This is really incredible, your improvement is really inspiring. I've been drawing for years but I often forget that its supposed to be fun. i know i haven't been in that flow state "the rabbit hole" in a while. I want to change that, thank you. I hope your having a good day, and a good time with your art.

interesting outcome . i have to say something about the idea of someone paying attention to something you made sounds like it is live affirming in a world that lacks connection :) hope my English is understandable .... if you feel stuck with anything just try to watch a ethan Becker art tutorial. ethan is a animator so he knows alot of tricks to simply everything . learning from animators or manga/comic book artist is fun because they know to simply the world and they know how to do it fast too :3
