Hello my dear friends,
It is a great feeling to be with you again. As always, I missed your comments, your thoughts, and talking about them together.
In this work, I share with you the restoration process of an antique hand saw. One of the main tools of traditional woodworking.

As always, you will be satisfied with wood and metal craftsmanship.
I was very satisfied with the condition of the chisel after the work was finished.
I hope you will also be pleased to watch this process. Functionality, aesthetics and marks of time, I restored on these three elements.
In addition to intensive woodworking, I also did lathe work in this project. Myford lathe was perfect on the brass metal. I also made an easy jig to sharpen the saw.
While presenting all this craft work to you, I tried to share my aesthetic perception and beauty philosophy with you as much as possible and as always, I added my love for nature and animals.
Also as always, my dear cat co-workers were very helpful in this project.
I hope you like this work of mine, where I live many seasons of life together.

Instagram @byoldhand / It will be a pleasure to see you there too.

Don't forget to like and subscribe if you like it. I would be glad.
I greet you all sincerely.

This video draws you into a very strange and beautiful world. This is not the description my wife would use for a world of rust, wood shavings, oily rags, old bits of cardboard, jars of dirty vinegar etc. An outstanding video.

I'm not sure of the exact meaning of the word zen, but it's the word that comes to mind when I watch one of these videos.
  • Getting that pin out in the beginning somehow reminds me of a trip to the dentist. Another peaceful experience watching the Master at work. Thanks.

When I saw your notification with the word “ANTIQUE” saw in it, all things stopped until I viewed the video, then I saw the antique saw and I knew instantly it was truly an antique by the scribing nib on the back of the blade, there are not many true antique saws left any more and then to see one restored by an artisan such as yourself young man, it is truly a treat. Thanks for the video.

Another in a long line of fine and pleasing restorations! I enjoyed watching the transformation from a tired and slightly bent old tool in to an renewed and aesthetically elevated item of beauty and function. Well done Sir!

Cheers to your beautiful new video! Thank you very much!
  • Absolutely mesmerizing top to bottom. I clicked on the thumbnail just to keep the video on the back, as white noise and I was totally unbable to look away from the screen every single second of this visual art piece. You're one of my favourite restorers here. Keep on and congrats from Spain.
