Correction 7:10 Ultraman Tiga Power Type 7:26 Ultraman Tiga Sky type 8:26 Ultraman Dyna Strong type(a little bit similar from Power type) 11:17 Ultraman the Next(devolve form from Nexus and Noa) And Again, missing the finisher from Ultraman Trigger(2021), Ultraman Decker(2022) and the latest one is Ultraman Blazar(2023)
  • For your guys reference, generally speaking everything before and including Mebius was generally 40-50 episodes but the company that makes Ultraman, Tsuburaya Productions, kinda over saturated their own market right at the same time as they were in a legal battle over the international rights to Ultraman. So really for the past 15 years they’ve been slowly crawling their way out of bankruptcy and the series starting with Ultraseven X was 13 episodes, but they’ve built back to a comfortable 25 episode season.
  • 10:19 Ultraman Cosmos is famous for being the most pacifist ultra, he would prefer calming down the rampaging monster if possible. I said "if possible" bcos he's also unironically arguably one of the strongest main ultra, being half of a really powerful fusion ultra. he's no slouch when he has to get serious in combat.

Some notes: Ultraman’s finishers are the Ultra Slash (Buzzsaw) and Spacium Beam. And Ultraman Zoffy (Just called Zoffy in shows) is a character that appeared at the very last scene of Ultraman 1966, but didnt do much, and his powers were only fleshed out in more modern times. Ultraseven’s boomerang theme is the Eye Slugger, the wide L beam is the Wide shot. One of the few beams to share spotlight with the other beam of the series, the Emerium Beam (tiny forehead laser) Ultraman Jack was conceived as the original ultraman returning (hence the return of ultraman show name), so his attacks are somewhat similar. Taro was a very silly show, with very silly attacks in order to win back younger audiences. Leo was inspired by the bruce lee films of the same Era. Astra (his brother) does not have a lot on his own. Ultraman 80 comes after Ultraman Joneus (Jonias, officially it’s Joneus, and it came out in 79) Ultraman USA was a cartoon pilot pitched with Hanna Barbara (unknown how much involvement HB had animation wise). Never got off the ground. Came out in 1987 (89 for japan) Ultraman Great was made in Australia and Powered in America (Although not broadcast in America). Zearth was a joke parody ultraman made in collaboration with another company to raise funds for tiga. Tiga introduced forms. Multi type being red and purple, Tiga sky, purple, and Tiga Power. Red. Dyna’s red form is called strong. Gaia V2 (black chest is the permenant form of Gaia in all media now) Ultraman Nice was a toy commercial character. Neos was supposed to be made before tiga, but never got made until 2000. Ultraseven 21 is a secondary ultra in the same way as Ultraman Agul (Gaia character who is not in video) Cosmos has the most Ultraman Media of all time. Having 65 episodes and 3 movies. Ultraman Justice is nonbinary and has 2 forms. (The Crusher Form is used in the video) The first Ultraman Noa is often called “Ultraman the Next” and is a primitive version of the actual Ultraman Noa (who appears in Nexus.) Speaking of which Nexus is the evolved form of the Next. Mebius was made as an anniversary for Ultraman’s 40th anniversary, with many cameos. Hikari is also secondary character. Ultraseven X is a gritty reboot of Ultraseven made as an anniversary. Zero has become a flagship character of the Ultraman Franchise, however has never gotten his own tv show. Many movies and crossovers however. He is also the son of Ultraseven. Ultraman Belial has become the sort of defacto Evil Ultraman in most cases. Ginga has had 2 seasons unlike most series. Victory appeared in season 2, called Ginga S. Ultraman Series after X will only have 25 episodes max. Also X and Ginga share the same toy gimmick of “Spark dolls”, the figured being power ups and such. Orb combined many ultras for other forms. Ultraman and tiga, jack and zero, taro and mebius and zoffy and belial. Geed does something similar. (Also pronounced “gh eed”) Ultraman R/B is pronounced “Ruebe, or Roob” And has 2 brothers as duo protagonists. Taiga is son of Taro, hence similar designs. Titas is based on Ultraman Joneus and Fuma being mostly unique to the series. Both are part of Taiga’s show as forms. Titas for power and Fuma for speed. At the time Z had only 1 form when this video was made.
  • 19:40 Yeah the Ultra dynamite technique essentially has them use up all their energy all at once for a kamikazi and leaves them with a low amount of energy afterwards.

  • @notreallyalec
My dad grew up watching Ultraman and I grew up watching Ultraman Tiga! 😊.
  • One thing that seems to be confusing you guys with both this and Kamen Rider is the idea of forms. In Japan, it's common for heroes to have multiple forms they transform into that all have different powers. It's a bit like Iron Man having multiple specialized suits for different situations. so some of what you think are different characters, are actually the same character in different forms. This video in particular shows every finisher from many, but not all, forms. It does miss some.
  • Yeah...about that slicing body parts. Ultraman nowadays can't do that. Japanese Tokusatsu and Anime industry are very different back in 70s and 80s
  • @rule66ofc
I'm kinda pissed that the finisher wasn't even the complete one. Well, maybe there'll be second part
  • Let me explain a bit Throughout the Ultraman series, there are different Ultraman, that is Cosmos, X. They fight with the desire to live in harmony with the Kaiju (giant monsters). In Cosmos, when fighting kaiju controlled by evil, incited to aggression by evil, he will only separate the evil, and the kaiju will be taken to the conservation island. He only really destroys evil people who are aliens, or inanimate mechanical kaiju In Ultraman X he is a friend of a kaiju, he fights with kaiju In Geed, he has a form called the Geed Acro Smasher that inherits the fighting style of Cosmos.
  • I forgot to mention it. But I'm surprised you didn't say anything about Ultraman Great being from Australia that was mentioned in the henshin video.
  • Come on, I'm not going to cry just because of a song The song : Yume wo oikakete subete ga kawaru Itsu datte kimi wo kokoro wa mite iru Ai wa doko ni aru sono kotae kara Kimi dake no yuuki kanarazu sagashidaseru sa (Follow your dreams, and everything will change You'll always be looking into yourself Asking "Where is the love" And once you've found it, you will discover courage nobody else has) *nostalgia attack
  • Ultraman Cosmos is the first main Ultraman to be colored blue(Lunar Form) as it symbolizes his kind-hearted nature. His finisher is a ray of light that purifies the monsters he fights that have been corrupted. When he knows that the monster is purely malicious, doesn't have intellect or a soul, he would change forms to one where he is mostly red(named Corona Form) which is his combat form, though this form has a bit of blue to show that he has some of his peaceful trait.
