Title for the video is great! š¤£As a Canadian a good laugh on Canada Dayš¤

Anvil opened for AC/DC in 2009 (Magnetic Hill, Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada). Steve was ecstatic to perform for an estimated 90,000 people. He said something like "This is my fuckin' dream come true!" That was the "one & only" time I'd heard of Anvil. Their setlist was gung-ho, but unremarkable.

Just in time for Canada Day! (I know you guys arenāt Canadian, but still!)

I've tried to go through Anvil's catalog and outside of some tracks from the first 3 albums and 1992's Worth the Weight, they're very much meat n' potatoes heavy metal. Respect for dishing out their 20th album though. Takes a lot of heart and dedication to keep pounding that Anvil š.

Anvil rules, l understand music is not the greatest. But go see them live. Honest put on a good show. Always hanging out after the show for photos and autographs. And keep on rocking out.

Forged in Fire rules. And for 1982, Metal on Metal has some really fast and heavy stuff. Never liked the title track though. But Forged in Fire from 1983 is, to me, a classic metal record.

My issue with these guys is they think they deserved the success of Metallica just because they were there. In their documentary, they blamed everything around them, but never once suggested that they just werenāt as good. āThereās nothing here you havenāt heard played betterā. Thatās their whole career, and itās exactly why they didnāt take off. The extremely juvenile subject matter and generic writing didnāt do them any favors either. They just werenāt nearly as good as any of the bands they complained about getting big instead of them.

I love ANVIL!

Guys - check out Metal On Metal and Forged In Fire, two superb early heavy/speed metal albums. You're missing out on some great early metal.

Just a good ole rock and roll album

Funny how you say the drummer Robb missed a transition. I saw Anvil live in 2018 at a bar in my hometown, and they dedicated part of the show to him doing a long drum solo. He absolutely killed it. I wonder what happened here?

The speed of sound by anvil is pretty good the whole album is bangers nad some of the old stuff is really good aswell i really like their personalities
-
Their first 2-3 albums are legitimately good. After that, mostly mediocre output, but they are troopers at the very least! With broken legs.

š¬ Anvil was a organic Metal movie where you cheered for the underdog šøš»š¶

After listening to your review, I just HAD to go and find out for myself and it's even WORSE than I imagined.. I had to stop after a couple of songs because I didn't want the youtube algorithm to think that I'm crying out for help! š¤

You guys deserve a gold medal for sacrificing your sanity and listening to this whole album so that the rest of the world doesnāt have to. I attempted to listen to āfeed your fantasyā and couldnāt even make it through that. I salute you!

I'm still waiting for a listenable Anvil album. Guess it won't be this year.

14:30 if Anvil was playing at Chuck E. Cheese's šš

I bought Anvil- Metal On Metal back in 1982. I liked it. Back then there were so many bands though I moved on from Anvil. Never saw them live.

Even though, this album is not good. Or thereās a few others I would have preferred. I am super glad, and thankful and appreciative and gratefulā¦you decided to give us one more. Kicked into high gear and took the time and effort before you go on vacay. š¤š¾š¤š¾š¤š¾
