  • Hey Ryan, I am not sure that AC is exhausting as well as you think. If you created a more airtight seal between the exhaust tube and ceiling fan, I think you would notice the air conditioning a lot more in the van! AC units put a lot of heat out of those tubes and the non-perfect exhaust set up may be contributing to raising the temperature of your van!

Ryan when you are driving and have the air conditioner running, open up the curtain and close the front air vent, then turn on the rear vent fan to blow out. This will create a vacuum thus cooling off the whole van. After some time of driving close that rear vent. You'll be surprised at how cool it will get while you continue to drive. Not sure why your min air isn't putting out like it should Not sure the BTU's but maybe an upgrade is an answer. It should cool the whole van. See you down the road !

Do magnet curtains to block off your bed area at night then place the air intake and output inside the curtain area. Boom you will have a cool sleeping compartment.

You should put both of the back hoses out of the roof. It will help with the efficiency.

Sounds like the Heat we are having here. I am in western wisconsin...95 today, 98 tomorrow, 100+ on tues and weds and then upper 90's until sunday. The salad looks amazing. I think I will be making that for my family by mid week. Always enjoy your videos! Have a great week!

thank you for sharing your van life, looks great! I like the decoration in your van, your kitchen, and your outdoor lifestyle, looks convenient. Mark 2 AC also looks compact and portable, hopes it can bring you a cooler space.

tip for that A/C. the tube that blows the hot air outside... insolate it. thats why those type of A/Cs dont work as well same as a house floor unit
  • @xueshanna
So cozy to watch you. We can feel the cold air blowing from that lil tube from here. I always change out all my hospital white bulbs for yellow or ambers.

That man was disrespectful for putting a brat there where your cup comes out

Welcome to the Valley! This summer has been incredibly hot. I'm glad you have the option to head south, where the weather might be cooler.

There are so many places to stay along the central coast and within CA for camping! Love watching your travels! You are missing out on some great places to camp in CA!

The noise that AC's tube makes when it gets compressed is so satisfying

I love your video's Ryan, inspired me to plan for a van life phase later in my life, after watching your last video it looks like you came through my neck of the woods. I live in Eugene OR. Please keep it up, I have been confined to one location my whole life and it has been a real treat to see the world through your eyes, I hope I can get out there myself one day. On a side note salt lowers the freezing temperature of water and causes the ice to melt creating very cold water to bring the temperature of the ice cream below freezing very quickly.
