You'll watch an entire Netflix show even when the first episodes are slow and boring just because someone told you "it gets better." But what if you looked at your goals like that and watched your life get better instead?
  • 3 Quotes to Live By: 1) "Don't compare yourself to someone else, compare yourself to your yesterday's self." 2) “You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending” 3) "Once you decide your lifes purpose, you will only have to pack one thing: "Your Heart." Love from a small YouTuber💙
  • I f-ing love the intro to this, "if your going to listen to summary of this book, you should listen to my summary because i wrote it!" 😂 Indeed!

"We can turn the worst thing that ever happened to us into a spring board to who we want to be" My mom lost a battle to cancer about 3 years ago now. I always mentally hated the idea of that tragedy being some kind of catalyst for change because it felt wrong. This is some of the positive affirmation we all need sometimes. Brought some clarity. Thanks man 🙏

I've been battling addiction for most of my life (58 yrs old) I came across your videos and quite simply it has changed my life. I no longer have this "poor me" attitude, rather I now view my addiction as a learning tool. My addiction is something that happens, and happened the way the way it happened. It's just another obstacle, out of the many life deals you that has become fuel for my potential. Memento Mori!

“Things are never going to be perfect, never going to be ideal, never going to be truly fair. You have to work with what you can, do what you can with what you’ve got, and then turn it into what you want to have.”
  • The too long didnt listen version of this video: Ryan Holiday is a fucking genius and this book will help every aspect of your life. This is not a paid advertisement, just a true testament.
  • There’s a quote from Edison. There are several versions and it may be apocryphal but it’s a pretty good quote anyway. Before he came up with a filament that would work an associate told him that it was a shame that he had wasted so much effort fruitlessly. “No results? Why man, I have gotten a lot of results! I know several thousand things that won’t work.”
  • An author who knew he had written a great book did not give up after being rejected by publishers and sent it to 121 of them before it was published. That book is called Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance: An Inquiry into Values by Robert M. Pirsig first published in 1974. It has sold more than 5 million copies around the world.

I literally thought of a phrase right before seeing this video “this is not in my way, this is the way” I am true philosopher.

This is one of the reasons that The Count of Monte Cristo is my favourite classic story. Not for the revenge arc, but because Edmond used the worst events of his life to become the greatest version of himself. I definitely have to get a copy of "The Obstacle is the Way"
  • What a strange co-incidence...Just ordered this book hardly half an hour ago via amazon and then when i randomly clicked on youtube, then this video is in my recommended list...my curiosity to read this book has just increased exponentially !

"I never met a challenge I didn't fall in love with". This is a quote I heard on military SF podcast that really made an impact on the way I approach things now. Also, another understanding of stressors "a tree only grows strong by blowing in the wind, it's many growth rings tell its story of what it's been through". This paradigm of thinking and taking ACTION and not living in fear - taking incremental improvements each day, while not worrying about perfection - and being of service. These are things that have changed my life. Love your books!
  • It would be a privilege for me to translate your book into Albanian, Ryan, like I did with Robert Greene's The Laws of Human Nature.

My entire life has been one series of applying this principle after another. From childhood cancer with my son, to conscience objection, through two failed marriages. It’s application works!!!

That's not at all how the Rockefellers made money. Come on, man.
