I’ve been doing this but with every piece of armor as well. Two gunsmith resets and 19k legendary shards. Now I’m worried if bungie will raise the cost of focusing!

For those on console, it’s basically the same. You go to collection, select leveling and go to the second page. The armor all the way on the bottom is the one you want to buy, it has the W symbol for the witch queen dlc so you can’t miss it. You can pick up any of the 5 pieces, they all will give you 3 shards and 250 glimmer back after dismantling. In console, the fastest way to do it is to basically have your armor slot’s completely empty. You can then buy 9 of each armor pieces for a total of 45 pieces rather than just buying the class item. Rinse and repeat and good luck before it gets patched. It’s more time consuming on console but it worth getting at east a couple thousand shards before it gets fixed

I managed to hop on this almost immediately after it was discovered using TinyTask, using all 45 slots. My own macro is about as fast as I could get it at just under 4 minutes for a full loop, and have been getting barely over 2700 shards an hour. I’ve already gained 75,000 shards and I don’t intend to stop lol.

Because it is Memorial Day weekend, they might not have anyone in the office to patch this until Tuesday, but I think Bungie has pulled so much cheap crap on us over the years, this is kind of their comeuppance

Yep, ran this for about 2 days My glimmer was way too high and only bought a new set every second rotation of it, I now have like 7k dusklight

180 shards every 2-3 minutes on console if you have the legendary shard dismantle bonus from the season pass. Very good. I use stadia on my phone with Bluetooth controller because of the extremely fast pc like loading times.

If you use only shards to buy cores, glimmer and planetary materials: Cost of ONE golf ball - 3130 shards Cost to mw legendary - 4194 shards MW exotic - 11,155 shards

Went from having 250 shards to 23k in 2 days. I definitely don't blame anyone for doing this. The mat grind in this game sucks hard. Thank you for this.

Watching this while 10k+ shards up rn. Crazy good farm! No idea how it’s not patched yet

I did the math to see how many legendary shards per hour you get. Take 23 legendary shards which includes the cost of the duskshards and the time it takes to dismantle the armor. The time it takes for the entire loop took me 1:07 and maybe the time could be shaved down a little more with less loading and lag. The end result in a rough estimate is 1380 legendary shards per hour. The total of an entire day uninterrupted is potentially 33120 shards.

W farm. Now I’m not in crippling legendary shard debt

I made a macro for it yesterday starting with 200 shards and now have almost 40k

Thanks for posting this. I was doing it manually yesterday for a couple of hours before bed. Today I've had no time due to a long day at work, and I work a long day tomorrow as well. So this will hopefully get me a few extra shards. I only started playing little over a month ago so am a bit behind in the grind department. Thanks again!
