"We want our hostile mobs to be fantasy creatures." Sure, that makes perfect sense, but what about neutral mobs? We have wolves, polar bears, and even llamas technically, and those will only attack if you annoy them. I don't see the problem with more casual mobs like any of these, where they just go about their business most of the time.

Minecraft if Mojang didn't care about the realism of animals:
-
9:22 Butterflies actually do have scales. If you have ever touched a butterfly, you would know that you get "dust" on your hands. If you look close enough at the "dust", or use a magnifying glass, you would see that it is really just a bunch of tiny scales.
-
If you didn't already know, hippos are some of the most aggressive animals in Africa, racking up about 500 human casualties per year, compare that to lions, which only account for 22 human casualties per year. In other words, between crocodiles and herds of hippos, stay away, the water is NOT fine! Also, hippos are notorious for capsizing boats that encroach into their territory.
-
fun fact - butterflies do actually have scales! they're on their wings :D
-
How nobody make a joke about melmen from madagascar when they stuffed the giraffe in the ground is beyond me lol. HE ONLY HAS DAYS, MAYBE WEEKS to live
-
Fun Fact from a Floridian here! Alligators can gallop like horses, so they are actually very fast!
-
As someone who lives in Florida, I can confirm that is how the lizards act
-
"Butterflies don't have scales." They actually DO have scales! Butterflies have scales on their wings! Some butterflies in my mod used to drop scales because of this fact!
-
The shadow of Israphel reference hit me like a gut punch
-
Minecraft adding the camel, and advertising it as much as possible, “Wait, there was a better version?”
-
Actually butterflies do have scales. That’s what gives the wing the beautiful colors
-
I love the group checking out all this amazing stuff! Kinda shines some light onto it. Maybe someone could use these for a cool server with friends
-
Give me the octopuses! I love them!! And the end whales looked like epic rune beast things, super cool!
-
Never thought I’d see someone use a catfish as a curling stone. 😂
-
i need dumbo octopus
-
Minecraft if they didnt do the fantasy vs reality argument abd just added in creatures to make the game more fun.
-
I don't know what it is about these mod showcases, but I really like them. Reminds me of watching PopularMMOs as a kid lol
-
12:22 they were having such a nice moment, and then he just blatantly stated
-
Enderwhales and octopuses are amazing
