Her desperation is all over this song and this is what makes it so special - a timeless masterpiece

Born in 1970. I spent all of my teens in the 1980’s and all of my 20’s in the 1990’s. What a lucky kid I was. The music was so good. It was a great time to be young in those decades. Young people today will feel the same about their young decades. They will get old like me and reminisce about the simpler times, as I do now. Cherish these days. Take chances. Don’t dwell on the regrets as you grow older. Hope this message finds you well.

Call me crazy, but Don’t Speak is one of the best songs of all time. Genuinely ageless. Plus I love the guitar solo.

Just came here from the Coachella performance and holy shit 😭 the grief in this was still so raw

Tony and Gwen are such troopers sticking around after a breakup like that. I will forever be admired by their strength. No Doubt Forever ❤💪🏾

This song stands the test of time

What I love about No Doubt is that Gwen and the guitarist were in a serious relationship when they started the band, but it wasn't until after they broke up and she started writing songs about their split (like this) that the band really took off. Must have been uncomfortable at times, for sure, performing heartbreak songs alongside the person who inspired them. Edit: 5 years and 120 replies later, and people are still correcting me that it was the bassist.

Imagine Tony Kanal not breaking up with Gwen, we wouldn’t have such masterpiece

The 90s had its own high moments and this song is truly one of those high moments. Thank you No Doubt, for this wonderful memory.

Gwen Steffani was 26 when this album dropped in 1995, 20 years later she still pretty much looks the same, timeless.
