TF2 Update: - Valve announced that TF2 will get a "community" "update-size update". A lot of people are hyped, but I'm not too keen. The bots have not been mentioned... TF2 UPDATE 2: - Text has now been changed to a "community holiday-sized update". Told you I wasn't keen. It's something but yeah, way to grab a L - Siege is killing their esports scene with a lack of communication, and my beloved BeNeLux esports scene I played in is getting radio silenced by their superiors and is set to close - Nintendo killed my dog. Also the N64 lawsuit is fake news apparently. Apologies! • As a member of the Titanfall community it is actually scary how similar TF|2 and TF2's situations are
  • This made me realize that out of the three companies, that the one trying to help but failing is getting severely punished, and the one that isn’t doing anything is fine

Valve: you guys still havin' fun? Keep giving us cash Ubisoft: What do you mean you guys don't like our vision? Nintendo: YOU DARE TOUCH OUR OLD STUFF AND REFUSE TO LET GO OUR OLD GAMES?!
  • @ukuelig2525
I used to be staff in a fairly big discord server (~100k members) and we had a separate discord server for staff discussion (~30 members). That server had a mario icon, and one day we got an email from Nintendo telling us to change that icon. Absolutely insane

I don't think ive ever seen this much care put into a documentary by a one person team. And yes, your content and editing style looks like its been made by a team. Keep up the fantastic work!

I really love how similar your videos resemble Ahoy's, simple thumbnails with similar art stlye that don't give away much information, high-effort and heavily-edited informative videos about games and both focusing on the main topic without any promotions, shoutouts or pauses, great job overall

There are many things I dislike about the way Siege has been steered, but making it slower and tactical isn't one of them. It was definitely the game's vision as intended and unfortunately the players do what they do and optimize things and engineer the fun out of it. I don't agree with how they nerfed their way to this point, but I play siege not for a twitch action shooter, but for the dynamic of site set ups, gadgets, and creative play. I'm glad to see lean spamming instant ADS Ash type stuff die.

I played Seige for a little bit and I remember there was at least a few times where I asked my friend "why is this the way it is?" And I kept getting "It used to be better but they changed it" also the worst thing they did from my perspective is remove maps completely from the game, I don't see why any company would do something like that ever
  • the fact that this channel has 10k subscribers with two videos shows the quality of the content
  • Having sunk 2000 hours into siege(since 2015) and 1200 hours into tf2 (Since 2014) i can say your analysis of both games is very accurate, thank you for putting my thoughts into words, making an amazing concise video which really adresses all my grievances with ubisoft and valve, some of your sentences literally felt like they were plucked from my brain and put into the video, i truly hope this video goes viral and you get the recognition you deserve.

As an avid melee player, I laughed out loud when you showed some footage of brawl being played when you said "this is melee!" It's going to make so many people mad, but it would also go over so many people's heads 😂
  • @mandridhugh9555
I think I remember one of the core issues Valve had with trying to fix the bot problem is most fixes they thought of were either more detrimental to players, or could easily be bypassed with an add-on or website
  • @yarknark
What I've noted: Never leave the community radio silent. If you're going to abandon the game for a bit or forever, let them know. Hell, let the community take a bit of control from there on perhaps. If you're making your game less fun because it's less effort, you're not exactly doing it right... Who knew that putting passion into games and putting the experience and fun above money and all else was a successful way to make games? please add more notes in replies if you wish I like to learn about these things Great Video, by the way! Very well edited!
  • Honestly, you only need to watch a couple of minutes of this video, to know that its top tier.

I believe you picked the perfect order to put those companies in on the Hanlon's Razor scale of incompetence/stupidity to evil/malice. As much as I'm upset about the current fate of TF2, I can't be mad at Valve about it. There have been many times in my life, and I'm willing to bet in yours as well, when I knew beyond the shadow of a doubt I should do something and still I didn't do it. The state of TF2 feels like the state of a regular game night with friends that stopped being regular despite everyone's best wishes and constant reminders to get the next one going. Valve are still doing many good things and I'd rather appreciate those than hold a grudge over their mistakes, as saddening as they may be. We are only human after all and so are they. Ubisoft is a company I strongly dislike for what they did to many titles I hold, or at least held dear to my heart. Their half-assing and lack of care feels as foolish as it feels greedy; with every very clearly bad decision or change they implement into their games I just kinda accepted it more and more that they can't be trusted, but can still provide fun experiences despite that. I will never buy another game from them again, because I wish for someone else to take their spot, but that won't stop me from playing and enjoying the ones they haven't ruined. Nintendo is straight up evil. Playing their games is like signing a deal with the devil. You will certainly have fun, likely life-long treasured memories, possibly discover a passion, aaaaand... you will feel bad about it all, knowing that not only you've paid, but become a fan of people who would kill your dog for a coin. You have now directly contributed to a legal machine of strongarm exploitation, tirelessly working to ruin every and anyone they can that might cost them even a penny. There is no morality here, no reasoning with them, any understanding you might come to with Nintendo they can and will discard without missing a step if it means they can let their legal team rip. I do not have words in this language (I do in polish tho) for how much I despise Nintendo's method of action, and I can't help but feel as if every single customer who knows even a smidge of what they've done is an accomplice, most of them unwilling, like addicts coming back for more drugs to the CIA- excuse me, I meant the mafia. And like addicts they know what they're doing is helping evil continue, but... it feels so good. I wish Nintendo wasn't selling cocaine.

It's just crazy to me how much Nintendo hates the people that give them money. I wish Nintendo had a philosophy like that of, ironically, SEGA who absolutly adore their fans and encourage fan creation.
  • @jackawaka
I feel it's worth mentioning with valve their unique management, there's no "managers" and people choose what projects they work on. They get ranked and if an employee feels like a game won't increase or help their ranking, they wont take the risk
  • @minimaster0328
i like how he ended the nintendo section with "nintendo will burn in hell"
  • Basically, what I got out of this amazing video: Valve: Makes great games but doesnt mantain them and just profits off of their success Ubisoft: Forces their own ideas onto games that were already good/going in a good direction, mostly for the worse Nintendo: Makes amazing, memorable games but only wants people to enjoy them their way, and their way ONLY.
