As an American I love watching the British,English,Scottish DIY videos bc it’s so much easier to retain each and ever word mostly bc the accident is that darn cool sounding ! “Then Just nip it up a bit” got me

Radiator fixed in 10 minutes! The pin was stuck. Thank you so much. Have learnt lots from you. Tomorrow I will balance my system. 😀😀

I watched this a few months ago but didn't have any troublesome radiators, just rewatched now with a problematic radiator and it worked a treat, thank you. 👏👍🏼
  • Spent 39yrs whacking TRV Pins with my Gordon’s, screwdriver head. Never had a problem. Even had a Care home manager who whacked them with a Stilletto heal. Worked a treat. Happy days

Thanks so much for this. It was a trapped pin in mine. Really appreciate this. I’d spent the last 2 days bleeding all the radiators in the house. Then this video sorted it for me in 5 mins. Thanks again. You’re a star.
  • @JohnofBeck
Thank you for a really clear explanation. Fixed my cold radiator as the TRV pin was stuck, & managed to release it.
  • 👍 Never worked with a radiator before, but bedroom one in house never worked - thanks to this discovered it was a rusted TRV pin, will be using replacement video in future too - amazing stuff.

I was going to call a plumber but watched your video first, am so glad I did because I’ve only gone and fixed it myself! Woohoo! Proper chuffed with myself! Thank you for the video, I’ve subscribed and gonna look through your library to see what else I can fix 😄

Thank you so much, I am a woman on my own who has a freezing cold bedroom for just over a year, followed your advice with a gentle tap and wallah I now have a wonderful warm bedroom, plus I bled my lounge radiator which by the way had a lot of air in it to now having a full warm radiator 😊
  • Brilliant! I've just taken off a thermostatic valve and fixed the cold radiator in my office. Thank you.
  • @MrEmilyg
Excellent tutorial. My living room radiator was warm at the top cold at the bottom after watching your video I rather nervously followed your instructions, and managed to drain, remove and flush it through and after re fitting and bleeding its working perfectly. Excellent work 👏 keep up your fantastic videos

Great info. Enthusiastic diy'er but always been a bit foggy on radiators, thanks for the easy to follow info. 👏👍🏼
  • Hi DIY Guy. Thank you so much for this video. Have just repaired my daughter's cold radiator by removing the valve thing and releasing the little pin thing. Instant hot rad! 💪
  • @adting2241
Fixed my radiator in 3 mins. Didn't remember you could remover the valve without risking leeks etc. Got it sorted, so thanks!
  • My radiator upstairs was cold for 8 years. Your tips on checking valves, thermostat and balancing worked. Brilliant advice thank you.
  • Great tips! When refilling a radiator it's a good idea to add some inhibitor to prevent build-up of sludge in the system. I once had a system with so much sludge it stopped the boiler working and it all had to be flushed out.
  • I wish I had found you sooner, I’ve had lots of radiator issues which you are explaining so well
  • @peterturner717
Followed your instructions and now have a lovely hot radiator, Many Thanks
