IPhone 4 Antenna issue explained with short term fix

Published 2010-06-24
So we all heard about it, the antenna issue in the Iphone 4. Here is a little bit of a showing of what's happening and a short term fix using electrical tape. Hope this helps you out. Bummer, even apple doesn't think design considerations through do they :(

@cranbers Word is it's due to the new way iOS 4 records the signal and switches cell frequencies. (that way you get the strongest connection) iOS 4 supposedly isn't optimized for the new antenna system, so when the circuit in complete the antenna attempts to adjust frequency by design, but iOS 4 won't recognize that change pattern so it instead records the signal as dropping at which point it will continue to do so until 'No Service' is reached. There will be a iOS 4.0.1 update on Monday!

@JHBackingTracks Well, they said "sometime next week, as early as Monday". So there can be any fix anytime this week, but don't worry, a fix is coming!

Your short term fix is nothing compared to Apple's $29.99 bumper ripoff fix....
