Movie: Pay It Forward

Social studies teacher Eugene Simonet (Kevin Spacey) gives his class an assignment: look at the world around you and fix what you don't like. One student comes up with an idea: #1 it is something that really helps people; #2 something they can't do it by themselves; and #3 do it for them, then do it for three other people.

If everyone took example from this film, This world would have been a completely different place.

The first movies as a kid I can remember that made me cry. My first memory of empathy.

Sometimes it is so hard to "pay it forward" Sometimes paying it forward involves putting anothers needs or feelings above your own. But If somebody didn't pay it forward to me, I would not be here now. So I have to pay it forward to somebody else.

This movies came out when I was younger , I never forget how it ended and I never forgot this scene. The message was so deep to me that my entire life I have always helped people endlessly. if its feeding a homeless person. or getting them a hot coffee, helping a friend or just being there for emotional support. people today could think more about others then we wouldn't have so much hate, right now we have so many issues. But they are mostly being created by the media, the media doenst focus on any good news anymore. it just point the finger at what they choose to be evil. manipulating people. I just would hope everyone can wake up, not fall into victimhood. work hard for yourself and try to help others. Dont think that your goals arent possible, they only become impossible when you give up . stay strong to anyone going thru hard times, I've been blessed with good health and great mentors. peace to anyone out there reading or watching the movie
  • This film "Pay It Forward" should actually be required watching/viewing, in all primary schools.

"Well, you can't know. Not until you look at a dumpster. But when you climb into that thing for the first time and you pull those newspapers over you, that's when you know you've messed your life up. Somebody comes along like your son, and gives me a leg up, I'll take it. Even from a kid, I'll take it."
  • Had to rewatch this as it is one of my absolutely favorite movies and when I got to the part when Jerry (the homeless man) was talking to Arlene about what it's like finally realizing you messed up so badly, god that hit me. I've been homeless before and when he described crawling into a dumpster for shelter I cried. This movie has so much impact

I suppose some may perceive me as idealistic, hopelessly romantic and unrealistic. That kindness cant change the world, that doing right vs being more selfish is setting myself up to he hurt, that the world doesnt care, that one mistake in life that is forgiver is weakness of the forgiver, that someones past is a clue of the future. This movie and foundation is mindset and way of life we all should be like. Im mo angel and made my mistakes but the hope and faith god graced me with . Sustains me through the world is shit times. Never giving up, will continue to care as i know and believe all is not lost.
  • No movie has stirred more emotions in me than this one and I've seen ten's of thousands of them. Nothing could heal our planet more then the message of caring for others in need.

"Do not choose to whom we do good because whatever good we do will not be wasted by God. Keep doing good even though it is tiring. Keep on doing good until we forget if we have done good.☺

Remember they are playing a part...not the message. WE ARE LIVING THE MESSAGE...

I took this movie as my own, I help you, but you have to help others, yes i have been homeless, even with a full paying job. I never had to beg for food, but I needed a roof, so once I got one, I never forget, pay it forward! Never payback to me. Pay it forward, this is the best movie in the world.

8:00 anyone who has been stuck in a horrible relationship can relate to this. At least I know I can. 7 years ago I finally had the courage to leave. And find myself and love myself again. Then years later I found my husband 💜 a wonderful, caring, generous big hearted man 💜

I will always remember the day I saw this movie for the first time in a mental health facility during daily activities/ smoke break. I always remember it as some sort of dream. Like I didn’t actually experience it in real life.
