The 2024 Ford Everest continues to be a popular choice in Australia's 4WD wagon segment. In fact, if it wasn't for the large SUV and the Ranger ute it's based upon, Ford would sell very few cars Down Under. But it's no surprise the locally designed and engineered seven-seater has sold when since its current generation was released.

Either way, there's still some intrigue, as the Everest range recently expanded to include a special-edition flagship, the familiar Wildtrak. It's adventure focus is somewhat at odds with the continuing Sport grade, although the two do bring slightly different aesthetics.

In this expert review, CarsGuide Contributing Journalist Emily Agar and her family of three spend a week living with the Everest Sport 4WD to find out well it's suited to families. Yep, this isn't an off-road test. Instead, she puts the V6-powered Ford through its paces where it will inevitably spend most of its time: on the road.
