    We have a few more chickens than you, but half are old layer hens. The shorter days have slowed their laying down drastically. I buy 6 big bags a month. 4 layer feed & 2 scratch grain that I get from Atwoods cause they are way cheaper than Tractor Supply. We soak their feed daily to make it go further and feed scraps also. I believe I'm spending $78 a month which ends up costing way more than the grocery store eggs even at the price they are now. We don't sell them, but share them with family and friends. I have an incubator too so I may start hatching some babies for those that need chicks.
