The Cure - A Forest (bass cover by Harry)

2019-12-02に共有
Words and Music by Simon Gallup, Robert Smith, Matthieu Hartley, Lol Tolhurst

Backing track is synced to 80 bpm. I used a band stop filter to attenuate the original bass (from about 120Hz to 500 Hz; -4dB).

The tab animation is from a Guitar Pro 6 software.

I hope you'll like my cover and It'll help you to play the song the way it was recorded. Keep making the low end sound awesome! :-)

Great cover, well done! Thanks for uploading and including the tab 👍
  • I like the way you do your vids tutorials: the highlighting of the part that’s being played… nails it 👌🏼 good job 👍🏼. Keep ‘em coming 🙂

Love this bassline. Executed perfectly. Thanks!

The stationary bar highlighting the currently playing notes is by far the best tab presentation that I have yet come across. It 'sets the bar' if you will pardon the joke. 🙂

:) Epic guitar part :) The bass is good because it modestly did not interfere.
  • hey harry. thanks for this once again! please add payment link on your channel so we can donate. you deserve so much love. you always put out the best bass tabs!

Great song and great cover. Feels like you tab'd it in double time or something, no? Makes more sense to me that the song is double as fast and not the drums playing double time and bass in constantly in 16ths notes. But maybe there's a reason why you choose it and I would love to hear it!
