Which game wins in your opinion ?
For me, it's The Sims 2 because there's actual consequences for having a filthy home.

The trashcans in the sims 2 do actually start to reek if it hasn't been emptied for a while.

maybe another extra detail for sims 2 would be death by flies... not cleaning was a huge consequence lol

In Sims 2 the flies around dirty dishes and trash piles can swarm and kill your sim. In 20 years I’ve only had it happen once but it was dramatic!

Actually Roaches made a small comeback with TS4 they don't have too much function but they do sometimes spawn in apartments with the Needs TLC trait

You forgot the flies that come with dirty dishes. In 2 and 4 eco lifestyle they can get killed by the flies!

In sims 2, very sloppy sims who pay a visit to the sims on the active lot can also search or eat from neighbor’s trash cans and children can straight up go inside the can. It is exclusively autonomous though, so you’d need to use allmenus to test it out.

05:10 I'd just like to point out that there are more than one different moodlets depending on the amount of trash or dirty items in the room. Additionally, in The Sis 3 there are recycling bins, which give positive moodlets to Eco Friendly Sims. Also, I believe there is a lot challenge when you first move into a house in TS3, in which there is a cockroach infestation and you have to take care of it (if you choose to accept the challenge).

Forgot one : In The Sims4, any Sim, of any age, can play in any trash pile. Then, you can search for spare parts in most trash piles. Topple a trash can, search for parts, put back in trash can, topple again, search,...

1:32 this acutally have logic! if you kick it like that in some type of trash can, the door will close like that! I tested it with my own street trash can today hehe
