When I put my paychecks 35 on my first GEN I took 7/8 of an inch out of the downpipe and with my TR meg welder I welded it back up and also I did a gasket match job on my exhaust manifold to the head and the manifold going to the turbo and I’ll tell you right now that open the truck up good I had a my stock cylinder head the guy ran a bull hog down in the bowls and he shined up my exhaust porch real nice for me and my truck ran a lot better ran stronger and got better fuel Konomi anyway this is six in a row jim From Kennerdell Pennsylvania and when I did the exhaust turbine when I gasket matched it I flowed that in a little ways about 3/4 of an inch so it has a nice smooth transition

I think you messed up your description. I thought you said the hx35 was a 56inducer. When I changed my crew to a 12cm all I did was move the downpipe back everything else fit fine. I ran the stock charger for years but only had surge show up when running under 1800rpm pulling my goosneck. It never surged empty. My testing showed you didn't need the wastegate hooked up unless you were making over 35psi.
  • I have a Daf 45 130hp and was looking to get it to make more power while still staying cool and lasting a long time. It has the VE pump, a reverse facing 18cm H1C turbo, and no intercooler. What would you recommend I do to make more power? I was thinking of porting head, fitting an intercooler, and making an equal flow plenum, as these mods would not increase EGTs, and a small increase in fuelling. Do you recommend anything else? Different turbine housing or compressor wheel? I'm thinking 200hp would be a safe limit, what do you think?
