Toggle Shoulder Aim is Bugged in Hunt Showdown

If you're using the Hunter Control Scheme with "Toggle" Shoulder Aim as opposed to "Hold" shoulder aim, then you cannot currently lower the weapon and go into a sprint the way you should be able to (e.g. Right click then Shift very close to each other in timing). Instead what the game will do is lock you into Iron Sights when the controls you pressed should instead put you into a Sprint. As long as it works this way in my view the toggle option is next useless. Here's hoping Crytek fixes it, but who knows.

This drives me nuts since I'm one of those weirdos that actually prefers "Toggle" to "Hold" overall -- now, the real "Best" solution I've seen is what the MCC collection does where it's both "Toggle" and "Hold" at the same exact time (e.g. If you hold then it acts like a hold so when you release it will release the ADS, but if you tap it then it will act like a toggle -- pretty clever auto system I haven't really seen other games use). But regardless of that, in Hunt the option is pretty much borked and I'd argue next to useless since you can hit "Right click" to lower the weapon then "Shift" to enter the sprint and if you don't "wait" in between long enough it won't do what it should and locks you into the iron sight instead. Due to this, I've just gotta opt for "Hold Shoulder Aim" in this title til they fix it (assuming they'll ever fix it that is). Love the game though, most innovative multiplayer FPS I've played in years.

This has been aired on their Discord. Official answer is that it won't get fixed sadly. Maybe with the engine update

Lol, i thought when you said it was "broken" like it's something that players can use to get that little edge in a gunfight
