I'm only 36 minutes in and I think this lady is delightful. I could listen to her stories about her parents for hours. It's nice to hear what their lives were like before the Holocaust. I had to add to my comment after I finished. I really enjoyed this interview, and I'm so glad she was able to record her family history and introduce most of her family. It's tragic that she lost her parents and her brother in the camp. It's hard to even comprehend what it would be like to be in a country where you don't know the language and have lost your entire immediate family. She is tough! But she did have a happy ending with a loving husband and a beautiful family. It's clear that her children love her very much and admire her courage and perseverance. Thank-you for preserving the history of the Holocaust survivors. This one was very good. I just looked her up and she lived to be 98 years old! That's amazing. I'm so glad that her family had her with them for a long time. What an amazing lady she was.

All of these stories are wonderful, giving us a real glimpse into the lives of people with lives and families. We are not a collective 6 million, we are Lily. We are Leon Leyson. We are Viktor Frankl. Lily makes us all proud.
  • We have found this great interview by chance. We (Jose and Ines) met Lilli and Vin Cirillo in 87 (SUNY at Stony Brook) and then we had the chance to visit then in Texas in 2006. They were terrific to us. We love them and we will always love them. We met part of the family. Specially Arthur but we lost contact when Vin passed away. No later news. We would appreciate any news about Lilli or Arthur
  • I’ve listened to hundreds of these and this one gives very good detail and insight into why the Jewish were disliked, what Hitler promised the Germans to further the hatred toward them and how a lot of Jewish people were aware of what could happen and how they tried to fight against this propaganda. What a wonderful woman, and I love her whole family!!
