People keep thinking I'm gonna run out of souls-likes, but I can guarantee you that I'll run out of energy for these long before I run out of games to play
  • @Pablobw
The storm troopers has to be one of the craziest plot twists ever on a souls-like
  • @timothye.2902
"this is a story Geralt wrote" this is def a bedtime story Geralt would tell to Ciri
  • From the Blood Spear dev team: "We want to address a subject that comes up often “Will there be a full game/sequel?”. As some of you may know, Blood Spear was our graduation project, as newcomers in the industry we are currently looking for more experience in different companies, the team will split up for the moment. However, in the future the team wishes to work together again, whether on Blood Spear or new projects." Sadge

I feel like once Elden Ring comes out Iron Pineapple gonna be like "I've played too many Souls Like games, I'm skipping this one."

19:45 - From Souls, to Skyrim, to I Wanna Be The Guy, to Getting Over It, to Star Wars. Damn, what a ride.
  • Wait GOW Ragnarok has the same spear combat mechanics as Blood Spear…? That’s crazy
  • @22freedom33
Iron Pineapple having a gamertag "metallic fruit" is like Bryan Cranston cosplaying Walter White at Comicon
  • @HelixSnake
I'm actually kind of jealous at how good Soul Spear looks as a student project, our game production class in college went about as badly as it possibly could have and I wish we had made anything even close to looking that good.
  • @jagodaduda2976
That "STOP" attack that ends the game by killing you was brilliant.
  • @lunch_trey
You know what? Even though that one gladiator lost his leg, he got right back up and kept fighting like a boss. Respectable.
  • @bassicallyandre
This was actually one of the best group of games in this series.
  • @SonicHaXD
Impressed with the amount of W's in this episode. Already bought Grime. And I can't wait for the full release of Loot River XD
  • @Krystalmyth
Throw the Spear and break it by pounding the ground. God of War Ragnarok: Write that down....
  • @mrwusss9126
I imagine the hard work that a single dude had to make an entire game. The "now what" ending was like, "I'm tired, enough of that".
  • @sethleoric2598
Tails of Iron being someone in the Witcher universe writing a children's book and then Geralt reading it to someone is such a good headcanon bro
  • @shayden998
"Have I totally lost my mind on what a souls like even is?" Absolutely. But let's be real, souls-likes or not some of the games you find in these dumpster dives are utterly fascinating.
  • @igornaimoli7321
Loot River looks and plays incredibly well I'm gonna buy it 100% when it's out
  • Based off of something Eric Williams (Director of GOW: Ragnarok) said in an interview for the Friends Per Second Podcast, it looks like they may have gotten the spear throw/slam explosion mechanic from Blood Spear. I like to think they reached out to the team behind Blood Spear, especially since it was a student project.
