Have you ever wanted to make your own panels? It's a pretty easy process if you're comfortable using a table saw. Today we go from a piece of plywood to a painting, and get to a use my new easel. And we do a giveaway at the very end of the video for the folks signed up for my email newsletters.

The kids need their own easel and kid safe paints so they can paint along side you. How cute they are.

Seeing your approach to blocking in the design is so inspiring. Plein air painting can be a real challenge to get the drawing and values correct. Thanks for sharing your vision 🧡

Hello from Moscow. We have this "plein air box" called - etudnick, from the word - etude :D You'd better buy a Soviet era "plein air box" from the Podolsk factory of an older year, 80's-90's. These "plein air box" can be recognized by the yellow-green belt, and aluminum elements оf constuction. Then the quality was higher, all the elements worked perfectly, the kit included a palette and a 2 sided panel for sketches, the palette and finished painting work's was fixed inside the box. Modern "plein air boxes" from the Podolsk factory are of very low quality. I have a Soviet era "plein air box" from the Podolsk factory and I am very pleased with it. Sorry for my English, I'm using a translator.

Thank you for generosity in sharing your thoughts while painting. Your use of the very hard greens and the range you get is genius. Your show is beautiful and wish I could view in person .

I am really inspired by your freshness and directness with your painting. I have been getting slower and more detailed with my plein air works lately and i felt watching this was a great reminder to loosen up and to focus on feeling and expression and the essence of the idea I'm trying to get across. You did that really well. Thanks for sharing!

  • Great video! Thankyou for taking the time to do them and explain what and why your doing it. Love the painting! 🙏🏽 thanks

I'm gonna unsubscribe if you don't Pole Dance like Cesar did in his video last week!! Cesar is the GOAT!! I like the way your son let's out a giant YAWN then hits the road on his bike!! Hahahahaha!! Another video that made my day. Thank you, sir.
  • Hi Turner, I really like what you are doing with your painting endeavours. Very real; with the kids, family visiting, the sprinkler etc. I threw together a paint box and easel and carrier last weekend and have been out everyday this week working on 10"x14" pre-bought panels. Today will be day 8 out in the woods. I am hooked!
