  • To do all these things is not easy and you need some luck and good people around you (Both in family and office)
  • I am 50+ now with 25 years of experience, mostly as "Hard core programmer". I really agree with points discussed but what is the remedy ? 1)Never think your job is permanent , work there and retire there with lifelong and everyday impressing and saluting everyone. Every company wants to become next to Microsoft, then you need to achieve this for meager salary, possible ? 2) Have self goal like "What bank manager earns in 32 years as salary", I will earn in ten years and retire with Big corpus. 3)Start saving early...in Stocks etc., 4)Never stick to a Job, always be in Hunt of new job with higher salary with your goal set as "10 years max I work and retire". In 10 years, If I am in Hell, let it be in Hell as long as "Hell pays more" for my future. so that I can retire early." Simply say your self, I work for my life Goal not for company. always
  • Every Corporate job is insecure.Hiring and getting fired comes as a surprise.I describe Corporates as a wolf in a sheep's clothing.
  • ALL employees above 35 need to start thinking' second career and what they will do after 55 most important cash flow
  • In my humble opinion, the best possible ways to survive in the corporate world is by upskilling and reskilling, always keep your mindset in such a way that of creating value for self and others. Still if you feel you are not satisfied, just simply move to somewhere else and stop overthinking on what people might say about you. Like Perfection the term Loyalty in the corporate world is a cliche
  • @MrRocrma
True ! Even 170 years old company can collapse and you will loose all the name and fame because of the good work you did all the years.
  • It's true. My boss who has been with company for 17 years and was best performing ,was earming 35L PA was asked to leave the organization.
  • This is really true n somwthing that happend to me as well. I worked in IT sector for 14 years and last employer was Amazon. let recently i was let go ..then i realized that no ppint working for another company n die every day. i changed tracked and enrolled in PHD in top Europen University where i am well paid with handsome social benits. hope in 4 years i will more to a decent academic role..its a hard decision and pay is low compared to old job ut it pays the bill. we have to accept the reality and move accordingly. i am more than happy to coach fellow senior IT fellows should they want to explore academic/research career.
  • @RSSreyasKumar
"Power of Transmutation " -- >> this moves any company or organization to extremely high standard and highly productive approach!
  • If you learn to say No and say that you have enough on your plate, that is also one of the reasons when a company thinks you are not a critical resource for them and the time has come to say good-bye to you.
  • Tired of this corporate nonsense....My life is a mess. In my mid forties...I am still putting long hours....
  • Very well said. Every word you spoke is a gem and tells the true reality of the evil corporate world. Mostly people try to be politically correct and don't tell the reality.
  • Job Security toh myth hoga hi corporates me lekin govt job me ye reality hai😌
  • Well life sucks as a human, there's no peace. Sometimes I wish I was a dog 😞

Added to what you say, please take care of your physical health during this time. If you are not fully physically fit to work in an organization, you will loose your job soon.
