  • "I have a lot of respect for Paul McCartney as a man for holding together a great family through the times of Rock and Roll - and through all of the success and through all of the swirling of....I have a lot of respect for that" - that part chokes me up. Paul and Linda were so determined to achieve a balance between show biz and family, while so many marriages imploded, people had affairs, kids got hurt, shuffled around. Well done, Paul.

These 2 men have written some of the most heartfelt melodies of all time....

Paul McCartney is so deserving of this award.

Paul McCartney makes me proud to be a Human Being.
  • I love that Neil is coming from the heart rather than "reading" like most do. Soo cool and real.

I loved that Neil talked about how much he loved the McCartney album from after the Beatles broke up. I love that album and I know exactly what Neil means about how simple yet epic it is. It’s just Paul McCartney playing every instrument. Drums, bass, multiple guitars, with a few harmonies from his wife. He recorded it on his farm in the Scottish hills, where he lived with his wife and family away from the world. So many good songs on it. And I definitely see how some of Neils music has that stripped down organic feel at that time. Dope ass clip

One day, neil and Paul will no longer be here. Surely that's a justifiable reason to phone in sick at work

Paul McCartney is the greatest thing to ever happen to music

“And in the end, the love you take, is equal to the love you make...”

Brought a tear to my eye to see all those photos of Paul and Linda. He loved her so much.... Paul's singing, writing, ear for melodies, charm, and musicianship were unmatched by ANYONE in RnR history. I have seen tons of UTube videos of The Beatles performing live and Paul is always rock solid. I saw him at the Kingdome in Seattle in 76 during his "Wings Over America" tour. I cried like a baby during Yesterday and the concert was awesome in every way. All seems so long ago....thank you Paul.
  • That's Sir Paul McCartney. My dad introduced me to his music and fan ever since - 1982 - Does anyone remember Pipes of Peace?

Funny that Neil praises all the beatles except ringo for their work on A Day in the Life when the drum part is arguably the most important piece and one of ringo's best performances
  • Paul has SO MANY accomplishments to be so very proud of and yes, Neil was right to acknowledge what a fantastic job he and Linda did of raising a family through those times some people would refer to and look down upon as "the drug years." They most definitely did a lot of things right and Paul is a man I admire, respect, and love very, very much. He's simply AMAZING.
  • Paul is an incredible song writer, I see him as a bard of love songs and a beacon in the music industry

"Band On The Run" is one of the very best songs of the early 1970's. Some very tasty guitar licks on that song. I always envisioned it as a Beatles song much like "A Day In The Life", but it was all Paul. Wings was pretty damn awesome, everything considered.
