  • I love 'on through the night' through to 'Retro active' A couple good songs on adrenalize but I think losing Steve and Mutt Lange lost that vibe they had. The latest albums sound like they want to be t rex, Bowie, Beatles etc. I dunno. Bands have their classic period and I love leps classic period.

The first song for me is one of the best leppard songs I've heard since promises, I quit like this guitar but that's about it. I don't understand why they don't do an album just hard rock it's what the fans have been calling for since hysteria. Love your channel some great movie reviews. Keep them coming 👍
  • Nice detailed review! It’s definitely a grower, I keep getting bits of melody popping into my head and then have to figure out where it’s from, hooks galore. Slowly but surely it’s getting under my skin, I think it’s important not to go in with a pre conceived notion of what this should be.
  • Good review. Thank you. I’ll tell you, I am a huge Def Leppard fan and on this one I’m kinda on the fence. I agree that the first three tracks rock. Especially Take What You Want. This is probably the one track that older fans will really like and sets up the album very well, but if your thinking the entire album will sound like this is doesn’t. The ballads could have been dropped. There are just too many. I thought we were kind of past that and they understood what the fans really wanted. Vivian is very much underutilized on this. I seen an interview he did and he was asked why he was not credited with any of the songs. His reply was he didn’t know they were making an album. The last he knew they were going out on tour and he just wasn’t prepared to do an album. Don’t they talk? Anyway this has become a band that Phil Collen is clearly in charge of now. I hope I am wrong that I see problems down the road with Vivian having no input. He’s a great guitarist and he could add tons to a new album. I don’t think this is their best album in 30 years. I don’t understand why they think that, but we will see how things go. I don’t want them to fail. I want them to turn everything loose like tearing those guitars up, Rick bashing those drums like there’s no tomorrow and Sav’s bass upfront pounding with authority. I don;t think we will ever see that but it’s nice to dream.
  • I agree with your review. I think it lacks energy. I think it is the best since Hysteria.
