Before you sign up for a new plan, here are five things to consider:

Pricing: How much does it cost? Is a contract required? Any deals?
Equipment: Is it included or how much will it cost?
Data Caps: Does the plan include unlimited data?
Speed: Am I paying for more speed than I really need?
Installation: Do I need to pay for a technician or can I do it myself?

Thanks for watching today. If you have Xfinity Internet, let me know if you've noticed the faster speeds!
  • @ounsreykhmer
Xfinity prepaid way better before it was 50mbps now 200mbps am happy plus no data cap and the modem is yours to keep no monthly fee whatsoever. I have them for a long time and been using over 2TB a months its only $45 a months it been like that for the past 5 years no price change.
  • @talston9874
Thank you for this update on Xfinity, I hate these and their service. I am planning to file a FCC complaint on Xfinity. There is TV advertisement for Xfinity internet 10g for 25 bucks a month This is ludicrous how we are being treated and screwed because I pay 3xs amount for internet and phone service We are made to depend on internet for so many things Ridiculous
  • Had to call customer service the other day and now I am terminally depressed. DO NOT get Comcast
  • I was an XFINITY customer for many years. Best thing I did was walk away from them. I was all in with bundled TV, cell & internet. One day I’m notified my bill increased by $55. I called in to sign up for another year or 2 and get a promo rate again. The best they would do was $10 off. I paid the remaining $240 I owed on my Apple Watch and canceled all my services with them. Now I have fiber internet (way faster up/down), T-Mobile (Magenta plan with Vet discount), and YouTube TV. Also some promo deals on other streaming services. No contracts, no equipment fees, no hidden fees, no surprises. It’s substantially cheaper. I wish I had done this a long time ago.
  • I was paying $230 for CableTV & Internet with Xfinity. I called and canceled CableTV and told them i would switch to Tmobile home internet if they couldn't offer me a good deal. So they then offered me the 1gigabit plan for $60 which includes Peacock and xfi complete for $10 which includes their newest XB8 wifi 6E gateway and unlimited data. I've had it for a few months now and love it. With Peacock free from Xfinity and Netflix, AppleTV+ and Hulu free through my Tmobile cell plan and all the free content using Roku, also get Prime Video included in my Prime membership and i pay for YouTube Premium Family plan which includes upto 6 accounts. It's been a few months now, and I'm very happy being a newbie cord cutter and saving over $150 every month.

    Had Xfinity(Comcast) for 14 years.Was $100/mo. 2 TV's.Went up every 6 months now it's at $296/mo.! Includes Hulu & Netflix. I'm canceling very soon. 2 Roku's + Hulu+Live + Netflix + Amazon = around $185/mo.
  • @AstanaxKnight
For years I had to use 3G cellular data. Then I got Exede satellite internet. Used to be unlimited for $150 a month. Now I am on Starlink unlimited for $120 a month. 20 mbps at the most. Comcast finally was able to run fiber optic down our road. AT&T never gave us high speed internet and allegedly blocked Comcast for coming through. The last time AT&T offered me high speed internet was in 2014 when the customer rep told me, I kid you not, "We can get you high speed dial up internet!" I got the simple Connect plan, knowing it will go up to $66 in a year's time. It is faster and cheaper than Starlink. Verizon and T-Mobile's network can't even reach us.
  • @oldie121
Thanks for sharing I went with Verizon
  • @TecnoJohan
Hey, you said so many things that are true jejee. I work for Xfinity and i recommend you to have Connect more 300mbps or fast 500 bc those are really enough for some devices and if you want to work from home you get the xfinity modem router or buy this modems motorola or arris i love them personally they work so well.
  • @biblebelter9772
I've had T-Mobile Home Internet for over a year and one-half. I took advantage of the thirty-day free trial to test it with Comcast side by side. For my purposes I could tell no difference which was reflected in the speed tests. Essentially, I saved around 25 dollars a month, but that does not reflect the fact that with Comcast I provided my own modem and with TMHI , it provides the gateway. Add to that TMHI provides the MLB streaming package free. I normally subscribe to that, so I saved roughly another twelve dollars a month. If I wanted to, I could probably up my TMHI speeds by adding an indoor antenna to my gateway. Waveform has just introduced an indoor 4X4 MiMo antenna at a 120 dollars and I am watching how You Tubers test it out. The problem with Comcast is that you sign up and in a couple of years you will be paying a 100 a month or more for internet. Hopefully in a couple of years TMHI will be honoring its price lock guarantee that I signed up for and I will still be paying 50 a month and get MLB for free.
  • We've been Comcast free for ten years now. Never going back due to the horrific customer service.
  • @JackBeckman
Recently dropped Xfinity TV, kept the internet as no other good options where I live. I would NEVER consider them for mobile, as I have NEVER had a good customer service experience with them.
  • @tscan1265
I dropped Comcrap & their data cap 4 years ago when AT&T Fiber was available in my sub. Never going back.
  • @gcraig0001
The main thing to know about Comcast/Xfinity is their customer service stinks and their prices constantly rise for no good reason other than greed. Equipment rental fees are excessive and you usually get old equipment, not brand new. They can't even keep their own website working properly, with logins stuck in a constant loop and constant issues with their security certificates which causes modern browsers to fail to connect. Unfortunately, where I and many others live they are the only viable option available. And they know it, and abuse that fact. Prices here are much higher than in areas that have competition from fiber, 5G, etc.
  • FYI, Spectrum Business is adding 5 bucks "other charges" for payment processing because they want you to enroll in autopay.
  • Yes, I saw the announcement about the speedup. I wonder, we pay $94.99 a month for Xfinity 1gig plus internet, since we dropped Xfinity Cable and phone. We have no other source of Internet in our apartment here in Nashua, NH. Like most previous triple play internet, Optimum, in NY state, and AT&T Uverse in Florida, Xfinity and the others were over $200.00 monthly. I wonder if our internet now with Xfinity at $79.99 a month, plus $15.00 a month for the Modem, will I believe go up to $119.99 a month, that is without modem being that the Internet will go up $25.00 around May?😮
  • @nm1000
Xfinity informed me today mobile data rates are increasing. I was already shopping for new internet/mobile service.
  • @iconkrys
i wonder for those that have Xfinity essentials if you select the $9.95 plan for 50 mbps if they will increase that speed as well as I don't see any new information on their website
  • @MrBunet1900
I do want to point out, yes you can upgrade your internet speed through the web site. They don't allow you to downgrade your speed. If you want to do that you will have to call them so they will try to talk you out of it.
