Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) was recently asked about J.D. Vance’s comment referring to the Democratic Party as being run by a bunch of ‘cat ladies’ who were miserable with their lives.

Murkowski did not mince words in her rebuke of her party’s VP nom, saying she found Vance’s comments to be ‘offensive’ and that it was no one else’s place to choose whether a woman had children or pets.

Her comments also signal a much larger split between traditional GOPers and MAGA. As MAGA continues its hostile takeover of the party, many GOPers seem to be more Democratic than Republican. Yet, this is not due to a change of heart on their part, rather it is a sign of just how extreme and far-right the GOP has gotten under MAGA, leaving sensible Republicans with effectively no party to which to ascribe themselves.

  • Absolutely leave it up to the women's decision to decide what they want! It's their life not the governments stay in ur lane!!
  • 100% of eligible American voters need to vote. Make it 💯 Keep it 💯
  • "...or how many children they're going to have". A very clear and simple statement supporting a woman's right to choose. Thank you, Senator.
  • BS. If she really felt like that she should have done something about it 4 years ago when she helped confirm Kavanaugh. She's played both sides of this issue for years.
  • How can any woman be a politician for the GOP that thinks women shouldn’t have rights????
  • Yes. Senator Murkowski is always aghast at things her own party says & does, but she never votes against them. She always ends up falling in line like a good little partisan.
  • @jdub8419
She should be offended by both Trump and Vance. They are equally ignorant and sexist.
  • You cant just say it lady... actions speak louder than words ma'am.
  • @llc1976
Lisa turn blue! We need you in the senate
  • With that being said, who are you voting for since women make their own determinations 🤔
  • Women vote blue 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙 Get your rights back
  • She always say something is offensive but she keep voting Republican every time she never stand up for what's right
  • These people have gone completely insane. They cannot just start talking about enforcing rules like this on other human beings. And they are acting like it's so normal. They have all gone off the deep end.
  • @srf2112
A moment of lucid sanity from her. Seems like she would've supported Roe v Wade.
