I sobbed nonstop at this beautiful tribute. I don’t typically feel strongly about celebrities but Jimmy was an exception. Tears began to leak from my eyes the moment I recognized the first song of the medley to be ‘A Pirate Looks at Forty’. How fitting to choose such a thoughtful, introspective song as the first part of the Jimmy Buffett medley. Everything was executed beautifully, Jimmy would be proud.

  • I love that Zac is wearing shorts and no shoes. An un spoken tribute to Jimmy. Fins up.
  • Alan Jackson, Mac mcanally,Kenny Chesney and zac brown band sang the most amazing tribute to Jimmy buffet what incredible performances
  • Rip Jimmy. Love the emotion of Alan Jackson. Jimmy was the best, the most underrated songwriter of our generation.
  • I spent 30 years in the US Navy, and retired. I have spent most of my life at sea and Jimmy Buffett had always kept us company. Any sailor who has spent much time at sea can easily relate to these songs. Jimmy will be missed, thank you for the great songs!
  • I'm sad whenever any singer, actor, actress or sports figure dies. I never cry that much though. Jimmy has been the exception to that rule. It feels like I lost a friend. I've cried so much and I know there will be more. Wednesday night, as soon as Kenny started singing, I was crying my eyes out. Yes, even during Margaritaville. I realized that I will never get to hear him sing it in person and it took my breathe away. Thank you for a beautiful tribute. REST IN PEACE JIMMY. We will never forget you.
  • That was Awesome!!! Especially, for the man that never really won many awards, accolades or much recognition until his later years. His long-time fans, like me, we knew!!! His songwriting was unmatched. And his concerts were glorious! He never did it for awards anyway, he really did it for music and his fans. I've started listening to Jimmy Buffett since the 70's, before the term Parrothead was coined. RIP Jimmy Buffett😢❤🦜
  • The one act I wanted to see. Jimmy was like a big brother to Kenny. So glad they recognized Jimmy.
  • Brought tears to my eyes, still can't believe he's gone been a parrothead and pirate since 1978 and will be till the end of my life
  • @LanceCadena
I loved how Zac Brown honored Jimmy singing in bare feet, shorts, and a Hawaiian shirt !!!

End of an Era, we saw Jimmy every year beginning in 95, our dearest friends introduced us, they had been going to his concerts since 75. We lost our friends during covid.

I had a friend who’s band opened for Jimmy at the Civic Coliseum in Knoxville Tennessee in the 70’s. I got the honor of meeting him at the Hyatt before the show. He was such a gentleman and an authentic person. That night it was around eleven o’clock. His performance was awesome. Suddenly the lights came on to get him to end the show. He said , “Turn these lights off, I’ll tell you when I’m finished. I’ve got these musicians and these roadies who get Union wages, and they’re getting what they’re do. I don’t these folks who’ve come to hear me are ready to go home yet.” The crowd went crazy and the lights went out .He played several more songs plus encores. It’s a night I’ll always remember. RIP Son of Sailor!
  • Beautifully done. I think Alan put on his sunglasses to hide his tender emotions for a good friend.

It was only right that Alan was up there singing that. I'm born and raised in Florida and boating, island life, and his music go hand in hand. Thanks for the memories, Jimmy. Now you're eating cheeseburgers in paradise for eternity ♥️🙏🏻
  • Glad that Mac had other talented artists that deeply cared for Jimmy with him.Mac has said that Jimmy was like his brother.Mac is so brave and comforting!

As a late bloomer to Jimmy’s music, I regret never seeing this wonderful man in concert. Thank you for the memories! Rest in peace Jimmy Buffet.
