Try Rocket Money for free: rocketmoney.com/Swegle Thanks so much for watching! Who saw the solar eclipse?!? I saw it in Indiana, it was sick. Anyway.. What videos would you have included on the list?? Also what's the greatest tornado video quote of all time?!!
  • @syds8752
“I hate Oklahoma” is hilarious. I’d never seen that before
  • @iamjustkiwi
That lady saying I hate Oklahoma is straight up iconic. Respect.
  • @klax001
I'm glad "Susan, get my pants!" got mentioned. If you go into the comments for that video on the vortexva channel, there's an 11 year old Pecos Hank comment about the tornado and that famous line. Some fun YouTube archeology!
  • @rollo-ds8cq
Susan get my pants swegle studios just posted
  • @TsunamiSephi
I’m STUNNED the Joplin 2011 convenience store video didnt make it into the list. It’s the closest thing to a tornado horror video that you’ll see, and you’ll never forget the noise you hear when the tornado opens up the walk-in freezer.
  • @mastersenna11
Honestly, I knew my grandparents had a close call with a tornado when I was younger. It wasn’t until a couple years ago, while watching Storm Chasers, that I realized their close call was THE Tuscaloosa tornado. Their house was still standing; everything directly across the street was gone
  • @jimbobshambles
How Mr. Glen Schultz stayed as cool as a cucumber is something I’ll never understand. EF4 coming right at him and he never makes a sound? Wow!
  • The one of the Andover F5 of 1991 sweeping behind those row of houses is #1 for me, along with Pampa 1995. Plus the 2007 Manitoba F5 where it sweeps an entire home into the air.
  • @jimidennis22
There’s a movie documentary. Twister: Fury in the Plains. People have posted it to YouTube so it’s free to watch. It’s a. CLASSIC. 90s video with so many iconic videos and cheesy 90s music. It’s gold. I remember buying it at Walmart in Boone Iowa in the 90s on VHS and being so excited.
  • I had a weird tornado obsession as a kid and I got such a nostalgia hit from seeing some of these videos again. I used to trawl through old youtube for some of these videos!
  • @discoj7112
The first clip with the "get away from the windows!" immediately brought me back to the tornado VHS tapes I would check out from the library as a child. The origin of my fascination with tornadoes. Thank you for giving context to some of my earliest memories!
  • @leemurrison9869
For the overpass thing, it's not about girders or not, it's about the venturi effect. Forcing wind into a confined spot only strengthens the wind and makes wind tunnels, the girders may have been passable for that f2, but 300 mph winds forced into an overpass is a whole different story.
  • @anihyrelles6870
Very cool. I think "Susan get my pants" is probably still the most memorable quote out of all of these
  • @KermitTheGamer21
I've read that the tornado in the overpass video actually ended up missing the overpass entirely. You can kind of see it move off to the left in the video. All that wind screaming through is the inflow into the tornado, which I would say makes it even scarier because that video doesn't actually show the full force of the tornadic winds.
  • @swiftuav3617
Not even kidding when I say this, I'm so glad I found your channel when I did. Your videos have genuinely reignited my autism-fueled hyper fixation on tornadoes that I only used to feel when I was a child. Subbed.
  • @HRJofficialYT
You should make a video talking about the plainfield F5 tornado. It is a very significant tornado and significant event in my family, it put so many rules and changes in place and started to shape new satellite weather systems, and drills.
  • @alexhughes4294
I was just looking for the 1991 Gull Lake Minnesota tornado video the other day but didn’t remember what I was called. First saw that footage 20 years ago. So glad I found it here
