It was interesting when Pamela and Sue Ellen became friends, but it was so much more entertaining when they were feuding

Sue Ellen was always throwing Pam and Bobby under the bus when things were good with J.R. When things were bad, she would come crying to them. Pam should have been done with Sue Ellen after this. I wish Pam would have slapped her into the pool.

Sue Ellen was singing a different tune a few years later when she herself shoots JR. It always amazes me when she and JR are on good terms she stands behind him 100%, but once he screws her over (once again) she feels the same way about JR like everyone else.

How good was the music scoring in classic Dallas.

This scene reminds me of why we loved Dallas and we kept coming back to it, week after week. 😁

Does anyone know if Pam's house (mansion?) was in Dallas and part of their annual location shoot or was it in LA where they filmed most of the show?

I never liked how Sue Ellen would turn against the people who cared about her the moment she got back with JR.

I don't know why fans hated what Cliff turned into in the TNT revival series. It was perfectly logical. Even here, Cliff's irrationality and wanting to kill J.R. was there in the classic CBS series. Granted... J.R. earned his hatred, but I was never turned off by it. If Cliff thought he could kill the Ewings, their family, their business, with the push of a button, but he has to sacrifice his daughter & unborn grand babies to do it... he'd absolutely do it. Depends how desperate and irrational he is. Aunt Maggie, Pam, Afton, and April, and even Digger when he was sober, were his moral compasses. Digger, Maggie, Pam & April eventually all died. Afton bailed when she realized Cliff was obsessed with J.R. & the Ewings. So then she was gone. Jamie tried, but in Pam's words "you never loved that girl". And eventually Jamie died, and all Cliff cared about was her & Jack's ties to Ewing Oil. After Pam died, Bobby tried with Cliff, but realized Cliff like J.R. would never change. So for all the fans that thought that storyline didn't make any sense and was un-Cliff-like, apparently were never paying attention in the old show. For 20 years J.R. tapped out, Cliff had no one in his way to build his empire at Barnes Global. His moral compasses were either all dead or might as well be. He raised Pamela Rebecca later on to hate the Ewings like Digger did Cliff, but not through Digger's eyes, but through Cliff delusional eyes. Digger once said, "I don't want to hurt Jock or Miss Ellie, I just want what's coming to me", and Cliff looked on in bewilderment. Cliff HATED the Ewings. It's not a stretch at all that J.R. re-enters the chat 20 years later and all Cliff had on his mind was cut the head off the snake before the war starts again. Even if he had to sacrifice family members to do it.
