Good to see another reunion. As is expected, we all get older so it’s good to see these iconic actors and hear about their experiences. Shout out to Joan Van Ark for her nice mention of creator David Jabobs who passed away this August. I didn’t realise before looking through these comments that we also lost Gayle Hunnicutt aka Vanessa Beaumont in the same month. RIP. I did a Dallas In Memorial video 5 years ago and am now researching others lost for a new video coming soon.

I love that actors from different eras were involved. Id love to hear from Kimberly Foster, Sasha Mitchell, etc on their time. Those last couple years are dismissed, but it was part of it

As a romanian i can tell you that back in the day, Dallas was not the mist watched tv show, it was the only show to watch on TV, because there was nothing else TO watch except for communist propaganda. Everything you guys said about the infulence it had on as a peoplle, it's true. Unknowingly at the time, but with mediun to short term disastrous effects, Ceausescu bought the tv show and allowed the people to watch it, so that his people, us as a nation can get a glimpse of what life was like on the other side of the Atlantic but this idea worked against him as a leader, backfired i might say, because not only we got that glimpse, but we also wanted to experience it and so in '89 the coup d'etat happened and Dallas had a tiny role to play regarding the reasons the coup happened. The whole idea ( fall of the iron curtain) was mainly orchestrated from abroad just like the fall of the iron curtain throughout the whole of Eastern Europe. It was originally intended that the change happen peacefully throughout Europe, and it did, except for Romania where the change was also meant to happen peacefully, much like the silk Hungarian revolution back in '56, but it was not meant to be that way. We were so enraged with all that hate having built up in the last 15 years of Ceausescu's reign and his extreme measures on us as a nation mainly because he wanted to pay the country's external debt that we finally had it in '89 and decided to take to the streets. And he succeedded so much so that we were the only nation in the world at the end of '89 that didnt owe any foreign country one cent. Then came Gorby's Perestroika a.k.a the reform and the rest is history. As time passed when Dallas was on in Romania, we came to love the show, i mean can you imagine an entire country yes, an entire country !! in front of the tv when the show came on? It was like "Wow!!! Dallas is on!!". And all of us spent 50 minutes of pure bliss watching the show, forgetting for at least a little while about yhe harsh reality that was waiting for us outside.
