In case you're curious, I know where this plane's engines are located to make only three. One on each wing, and another huge one on the tail. When I first saw the photos of an MD-11 I was a bit intrigued, since I'd never seen a plane with an engine on the tail before. Now I think the MD-11 is one of my favorite aircrafts, simply due to the way it flies and the interesting alarms a pilot would hear in the cockpit. I'd never be able to pilot, though. I'm sticking to traveling in the cabin where I can relax... although I do love studying how airplanes work. I even watched some episodes of Mayday once, just to hear the amazing stories of how airplanes malfunctioned or the pilot errors. Sadly, the MD-11 is no longer manufactured. It is, however, known for having flight control issues, especially on its first release. I think Boeing eventually fixed it after they merged with McDonnell Douglas, though. I'd love to have a model of the MD-11. I think I might even start a model airplane collection.
