To me this is one of Mariah's most underrated songs ever

Could've been Mariah's fifth #1. This song surpasses even paradise.
  • @Muggendorf
who thinks this song aged really well after 30 years!!
  • If only Sony would have worked Mariah's albums longer, she easily could have had 25 #1 singles. This one and Prisoner would have made it to the top.

one of her best that did not hit single...though I wish it had been a radio hit

I love that this song was the most modern on the album at the time. This song embodies the dance music beat that marked the beginning of the 90s. It is very different from the rest of her album, which although it was released in 1990, has a very 80s sound. Even today it sounds very modern, elegant and powerful.

This is a missed opportunity for a radio hit. I can hear family singing their lungs out around the house.

God, when this album first came out I was a teenager and I listened to the cassette on my family trips to Rhode Island. I would listen to it track by track over and over again!
  • I was 10 in 1990 and damn near popped my tape I played this so much. I always felt this song was extraordinary/underrated- her vocals, the production, the song’s rise to crescendo and soaring vocal heights. Bring it Mariah- the Incomparable Ms Carey👏🏽🙌🏽👌🏽
