  • We’ve received a TON of questions about how/if we can carry-on each of our suitcases given (1) the large liquids in our toiletry bag and (2) their seemingly higher than allowed weight. To clarify, we do NOT carry our suitcases on our flights. We check them, which is generally included in the international and domestic flights we book. We use and prefer traveling with a carry-on suitcase because they are way easier to travel with long term across destinations. Whether we’re lugging them on and off trains across Europe or on and off a longtail boat in Thailand, they’re much better than a big checked suitcase. Also, our carry-ons always fit into the trunk of cars when we road trip around countries. So, we pack our carry-ons to maximize space and get around countries easier for 2-3 month trips. Hope this makes sense! Let us know if you have any other questions.

My suggestion is to keep photocopies of your passports, immunization documentation, and drivers licenses in your other bag. That way, if you lose your originals, you have the numbers to request replacement documents.
  • I have watched dozens of packing videos for an upcoming 3-6 month trip to Europe. That was by far the BEST! Finally a good one!

I always pack a full ‘pharmacy’ in my carry-on when I travel, internationally especially. While yes, you can find meds wherever you travel, my experience is that they probably won’t be exactly the same as what you’re used to. Plus, I’ve seen/experienced what happens when you don’t feel well on the flight and have nothing with you to help. So I always always have anti-nausea, upset stomach, cold meds, cough drops, Tylenol, anti-diarrheal, and some bandaids with me.
  • Packing your shoes together takes more space and you don’t need to buy one bag for them: a grocery bag or even a shower cap works.

The complaint you have with the away bigger carry-on is the same one I mentioned in my review video too: the frame of the compression system breaking. I’ve had my suitcase for over 4 years and that’s the one thing that has broke. Great video!

This video was so helpful! I feel that you covered way more helpful things than other youtubers. Thanks for this deep dive

Loved seeing inside y'all's bag! Definitely want to try some of the toiletry products before our next big trip ✈️

I was glad to see a headline for "not" rolling clothing. Your video is unique in that regard. Rolling might work for some people, but rolling all clothing items is way too much work for me. I like just talking out my cubes with everything folded flat (except for small items like socks). For me, it's more about weight than space, so I try to use the lightest weight, within reason, clothing items. I also look for the least bulky clothing. A bulky sweater can take up a lot of luggage real estate. For shoes, I found individual shoe bags. This increases the options of where to fit the shoes.

Good video and tips! I have and absolutely love the ebags toiletry bag and eagle creek packing cubes. I use the pack it garment folder by eagle creek and it works really well to keep the wrinkles to a minimum.
  • I have the same pacsaffe bag and absolutely love it! Best bag I ever bought!
  • @zwingfield
That was a great video! You gave me so many good ideas concerning methods and products. Plus, you both seem like such nice people. Thank you so much! Happy travels 🌎🎉
  • Seems like you pack a lot in the carry-ons, thanks for the tips! Do you ever have a problem with the weight of each carryon?
  • @kuanding1980
thank you for your practical tips, and your purchase decisions make sense even thought they are not the most trendy(sponsored) items on youtube/instagram. Your interactions are adorable and I enjoyed every minutes of the clip. Thank you.

Hi there, I'm in England and have travelled for most of my life here and there, and Packing cubes are great. I've just put my Primark shoe bags into my main case. Really usual tips.👍
  • Nicely done! I love a good packing video :) So many people love these Away bags. Once mine finally breaks (I've had it for 9 years!), I might get this one! Oh! And I have that same backpack and have had it for years. Loved it so much that I got the mini for when I'm running around town at home.

If you get motion sickness, Amazon sells “ low dose Dramamine” this is actually Meclizine. These tablets come in a container like your or in a another regular bottle. The nice part about these is they are breakable 25 mg tablets that are scored and can easily be broken into fourths. I am horribly sensitive to medication and I can actually take a 1/4 tablet and function without excessive sleepiness and they work better than anything I’ve used. I keep them in my purse and cannot even drive curvy roads or stand downstream of a river and watch the water without feeling ill. These tablets also can be chewed ( not much flavor and not gross) for rapid effect. I have taken stock , these are awesome!
