President Biden has announced that he will not seek reelection in November. In a statement released on social media today, the president said, "While it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as president for my term." Biden is endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee in the 2024 presidential election.
