Don't make fun of my mic or my pronunciations plz
  • Calling Big Boss Naked Snake in refrence to any event after operation snake eater feels wrong to me. Because well.. lets be real, Naked Snake died with The Boss at the end of his mission. 😭 I've 100%'ed and replayed it hundreds of times at this point and still plan to play through it again and again. I love the whole metal gear series, even bought a whole ps3 solely to play MGS4 😂

Solid Snake is also in Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2. You left those out.

Finally some mgs content that goes straight to the point!!!

I think you could consider Raiden as a Snake at least up until he "becomes his own person" so to speak. He spends most of the game trying to be like snake and even has the code name at the beginning. He's supposed to be like a memetic copy of Snake rather than a genetic copy like most of the others except Venom. While the entire game of MGS2 is about him turning into his own person rather than a copy, the scene where he gets the sword has always been where I see him go from Snake clone to Raiden (which funny enough is filling the cyborg ninja role). If Venom counts I think Raiden should count as well at least to an extent.

You did an amazing job explaining all the Snakes..very clear and concise, to where anyone, including new would be able to understand..great job man!👏🏻
  • @ScottJarreau
Even aside from the obvious physical differences between Venom and BB, I knew he wasn’t Naked Snake when it was said that he needed a translator for Russian. MGS3- Sokolov said “Your Russian is SUPERB!” Dead giveaway

Good video to show my few non mgs playing friends for Snake references, great work boss
  • @Bugg3y3
as someone just now getting into metal gear this was by far the best explanation i’ve been given, thank you!
  • Thanks for your contribution to the MGS fanbase with this short and understandable explanation! gonna send this to my friend that's thinking about getting into the series good video ^^
  • @Foodnstuff109
Thank you for making this video! I always support metal gear videos on YouTube, so I'm going to share yours. Hopefully you gain some viewers and make more content! Looking forward to it 😀
  • @Ginger_Tank
Well done 👏 A good short summary for new comers
  • @Americansikkunt
I like how Solidus Snake was US President, yet that is a minor plot point of his story.
  • @nickkelley6352
Great video! This world gets very complicated and I struggle with explanation videos because they’re 15 minutes long with all kinds of information that’s not important and bad jokes. Keep posting great content!
  • @raizer1946
I've seen this comment in other MGS related video so I type it here! CTTO btw. Naked Snake (Big Boss): The Man who sold the world. Venom Snake: The Man who fooled the world. Solid Snake: The Man who saved the world. Solidus Snake: The Man who fought the world. Liquid Snake: The Man who defied the world.
  • @macheooo
I already knew about all the snakes but I needed a little refresh and this video was perfect. Keep going man
  • Thank you so much for the help. Your explanation was quick and easy to understand

Can't believe that you didn't mention the MSX games, Metal Gear (1987) and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. Big Boss appears as the main antagonist of the very first games, in fact MGS3 and other MGS games starting Big Boss are an explanation on how he became the main villain of these two games. The ending of MGSV also reveals that Venom Snake was the one who got killed by Solid Snake at the end of MG1. Solid started as a rookie in MG1. Seriously, MGS fans should stop ignoring these two games.
