My man didn't say "Let's get right to it", and now I am upset :((

Literally, if we have any possible doubt regarding data roles, your channel has answer for it. If we work hard on skills then we literally don't need guidance from anyone else. Thank you for being on this platform and clearing a lot of things for people who are new to data related industry!

Love this channel. Unbiased, clear info. Looking to get back into a data analyst role, having been moving data around for 15 years. Sounds like the right thing is getting the PL-300 cert.
  • Just subscribed. Currently studying Machine Learning at university but was wondering what the next step would be for me. Glad I came across your channel and I hope to see more content!

Great content as always Mike West. We have missed your incisive and insightful clips. You have been away for quite some time. I hope you are doing great.

Hi, thanks for your videos. I just recently got my first job as a bi analyst at a top 4 FMCG company. I am now in the 3rd year of my bachelor’s degree and further plan to grow as a data engineer. Everything you said in your videos is true. For my first job I needed to study sql, database theory and power bi. Thats all

I really appreciate this video. I have to wonder whether employers who resort to these tactics are really worth working for.

Thank you for those short, to the point videos. Where can we pay you? I've got add blockers.
  • Thanks for sharing your experience. Any advice on proactively and intentionally seeking out great companies to apply for? Any specific methods to finding them?

I'm not sure if this is incredibly-related to this video, but from watching through your other videos, I'm truly interested in your thoughts. I'm (by title) a Data Engineer, but by job duties am closer to a Data Analyst/BI Report guy (Power BI, SSRS, what have you). I'd say I'm fairly-to-very strong in SQL and have a CS degree. I'm curious as to how possible it is to be a "super specialist" ML Engineer in a "core" facet of ML . If my primary interests were in making predictions with tabular and time series data, is this enough to be marketable enough for a well-paid role assuming you're able to become enough of an SME? My cursory job searches often mention other facets of ML that don't really speak to me. TL;DR can you find good work as an ML Engineer with a hyperfocus on time-series/tabular data, GBMs, etc. etc. Thank you so much and sorry for the rambling!

Could you make a video on the new platform Microsoft fabrics and it's impact on other tools like Azure and Power BI

Hello Mike, is oracle RDBMS good to learn for a machine learning engineering job and is it widely used in the industry ?
  • As a DBA with 10+ years of experience also with cloud exp. Azure certified(dp-300) I’ve found that I can’t land an interview , is this normal or is my experience unique from what you have seen? And I apply daily with a personal website showcasing my skills .
  • Hey Mike! What do you think about data governance and data management roles? you never mention them as data roles.
  • @ariel5598
Hello Mike, I need your advice. I really need a remote job that I can do from anywhere in the world due to personal reasons. Where do you recommend me to check?
  • @RundownRover
Is a college degree mandatory regardless of the Certifications I manage to obtain e.g) Power Bi and Azure? It's not financially possible for me to go to college.

What is logic bot? I want to learn. Currently struggling to find a new job but realized I have not kept up with new tech and am lacking in skills
  • @cheloso111
Do you considered Business intelligence as a data related job good enough to later on transition to ml?
