The case file and evidence of a murder were disposed of or lost? How would that happen?

were guns registered in 1951? anyone have the serial number to that thing? hb victimology? what was life like for a 1950's housewife with a job? what was her friend/acquaintance circle like? would she have opened the door for a familiar face? Old cold cases really drive me crazy.....anyone else?
  • Sad story - the perpetrator most probably gone to join her and account for his actions. This is the sort of nightmare case which haunts policemen - no motive, no clear suspects. And, if the killer never strikes again, no links on which to build evidence.

Gee, the husband found her. I wonder who could have done it. 🤷‍♀️
