It feels like I can’t get enough oxygen in my lungs, but it’s only when I become aware of my breathing. What is wrong with me?

MUSIC FOR NO REASON TOOK MY ALL ATTENTION. LISTENING AND UNDERSTAND EACH WORD OF GENIUS DR JOHN GERRY WAS VERY VERY IMPORTANT AND VALUABLE FOR ME, NOT MUSIC IN THE VIDEO. I FEEL I HAVE BECOME AWARE OF MUSIC NOW.
  • This is totally not going to sit well with a lot of people but I know for myself it does seem to have some merit. I have experimented with this numerous times and I see a strong pattern. For those who can’t seem to figure out the mystery with their being short of breath and feeling tired and weak....try disengaging from your cellphone for at least 10-14 days. Minimal use just for emails and quick texts only. Now, it could be that I develop a different pattern of breathing when I’m on my cellular phone for long periods and often I will engage in material that is anxiety producing so it could be that...or, the radiation/EMF’s might have some type of impact on our hemoglobin and it’s having a disruptive effect on our blood cells and perhaps not enough oxygen is getting into the blood cells and inflammation is present. I really want to try and do a long trial like 3-4 months to see if I experience significant improvement. Maybe my theory is bogus but I am really sick of feeling so shitty all the time and like I’m 90 years old.

  • @lil_kev
I have shortness of breath at times and I'm starting to yawn more
  • I am so glad i found this site, because even tho the doctor 👨‍⚕️ is not describing my problem, there are people making comments that pinpoint just what i have. It is as if i have a “hill” in my chest that my in-breath has to get up and over in order to feel like I inhaled a satisfying breath. Sometimes I make it up and over; other times i almost reach the top, but fail. Other times i barely can get started. Sometimes i get a running start, and that can sometimes get me up and over. Yawning sometimes gets me over the hill. The problem started when i was about 7. It would last a day or two, and then disappear for months. Over the years the time it lasted became worse, till now it is constant when i am awake. When I become unaware of the problem, my breathing is fine. I have the problem sometimes when i lie down to sleep, but i am always able to fall asleep. Most of the time it is there when i awake. I have been combing the internet, trying to find videos in which the maker of the video recognizes the problem, and offers a solution.

I have an appointment with a lung specialist next month. I can not wait. This video helped me so much, I completely relate to so many people in these comments. Been living like this for years now 😭 comes & goes but it’s been so bad the past year

Please don’t discount stomach disorders, they affect your diaphragm, which controls your breathing, an antacid tablet sometimes helps, as in my own case.

I feel breathless sometimes when I became sick .. It feels like my chest itnt expanding
  • Can tapering off of certain medications cause central nervous system irregularities? I’ve been doing a micro taper of Nardil (MAOI) for a couple years now and ever since I started this taper I am experiencing attacks of extreme malaise, weakness, fatigue and BREATHLESSNESS. I feel like I am dying and have been to the ER 7 times in the last 16 months. Laying down is much worse than standing. And I often wake up and my legs and knees are totally numb. I’m scared so this is adding anxiety panic symptoms on top of it. I’m 45 a former smoker and hairstylist for 24 years.

Ive smoked cigs 40 years and it certainly has short winded my physical stamina. However ive refinished automobiles in facilitys with out adequte ventilation most of my life and this has by far damaged my hear and lungs far more seriously than cigeretts. Ironicaly i find that my sudden eposodes of breathless are not helped my inhaler, but a puff or three on a cigerrett seems to have a calming effect that allows me to relaxe and recover from the contraction limiting my ability to breath normaly. I know i have congestive heart failure copd pad and arteriosclerosis so i wont be with this world much longer. Your health is your true wealth. Dont throw your pearls away to sin.

I can relate to you all. I am short of breath and it all started 9 months ago. Seen a pulmologist, cardiolist, and some many trips to the PC. Lungs are fine, they did all kinds of test my lungs check out good. I do have AFIB but only occasionally after much study and research I don't think its my heart causing it but it could be. The labored breathing is such a mystery I can't figure it out. I am fit I walk miles every day and not out of breath. I had a stress test done (2 hours) on the treadmill everything was near perfect. Even now as I type when I take a deep breath every 2 or 3 breaths dont' seem to fill the lungs but I can breathe. It is so strange to try to find the cause. Could be plain ole anxiety. I lost my wife 5 years ago and my son 3 years ago lots of stress and the pros say stress is aculmulative it never leaves you you just manage it throughout your lifetime. I deep breathe this sometimes helps. Its like something in either my gut or diaphram is causing it. Still looking for answers. The docs don't know what it is, they just tell me what it IS NOT..more or less. My minerals I take daily I have a great diet I walk I do all the things you are supposed to do. I many never find out but I will not stop trying.

Been having this since i was a little kid, i'm 25 now, it happens mostly when i'm relaxed, it is what it is, i'm always yawning to catch my breath, i do exercise, i don't suffer from stress or depression or anything, it's just part of me and i dont believe it'll ever go away.
  • Brilliant content and informative coverage, could you please not have the background noise or music?
