Gil, did you not watch this dude in the playoffs a couple months ago? 8 for 42 from the field, 2 for 13 from 3 over a 4 game stretch...his playmaking cannot compensate for that level of inefficiency. Defenses bait him into shooting jumpers that everyone knows he won't make. He's not a consistent finisher anymore either. There's a reason he's gotten traded like 5 times in the last 7-8 seasons.

These guys love players that put up big numbers and get knocked out in the first round. Just go back to any conversation they have if the guy puts up good numbers that actually leads his team to winning, they'll criticize them to death, but if you put up huge numbers and get gentlemen swept every year as the number 1 guy, they love those type of players.
