Ignore the 2023 typo at the start, I kinda rushed this video 😅
  • Regarding Arcade's fact: it now has over 1 billion streams on Spotify, it crossed that mark last August and became the first Eurovision song to reach that milestone Also, a few interesting facts Johnny Logan and Loreen share: the host venue in the years following each of their two victories was the same (RDS Simmonscourt in 1981 and 1988, Malmö Arena in 2013 and 2024). A close neighbor country won the year after their first win (UK in 1981, Denmark in 2013), and an artist representing Switzerland won in the year following their second victory (Celine Dion in 1988, Nemo in 2024)

I knew that France Gall was slapped by the 2nd but I didn't know that she was booed during rehearsals but I know something that you didn't say but at the time she was with Claude François a famous singer in France and after the win she got it on the phone and she told him how happy she was to win and Claude François said "you won it but you lost me"
  • Helena Paparizou won on 21th of May that is her name day (Saint Konstantinos and Santa Heleni in the Orthodox calendar)
  • @JacobExistsV
i think 1969 spain shouldve won, the song was just so enthusiastic
  • What an interesting, innovative, and informative video. While I was shocked with many things, I felt bad for France Gall as the runner up was being straight up main and a sore loser (At least Käärijä and Baby Lasagna congrats their opponents even though many others preferred them to win) and the 2012 one. Unpopular opinion, I don’t get the hype over Euphoria as a heard it a couple of times but see it as boring and Stay is a guilty pleasure of mine
  • @Jai05
La la la actually isn’t the Eurovision song with the most “La’s” that record is held by another entry of Spain’s: Su Canción by Betty Missiego from 1979. It managed to reach 2nd place
  • 2 things (Idc about the hate I get in the comments) 1-Ukraine only got that many points on 2022 due to the war,but we must recognize that Chanel was 1000 times better that year 2-Loreen's song from 2023 is similar to the song Flying Free from Pont Aeri (Let's see how many ppl cry)

16:17 is it really the only song ever to win both tele and jury because i don’t believe that, i swear like Euphoria and Fairytale won both of them and there’s probably a lot more. Or is that just after they started announcing the points separately..?

  • 13:53 technically, 1956 was won by the country's SECOND song so Serbia is definitely the only country to win on their debut entry
  • @RedToxicHoodie
I believe it was Iceland win the Eurovision 2020 while the contest cancelled
  • @Schwumbel
The 70s was the best decade songwise, the 2000s was the absolute lowpoint. The first 10 years are forgettable. France Galls 1965 appearance marks the turning point, it‘s the first song of significance. The highlight of the last 68 years is „Ding a dong“ (Teach-in, 1975) - the quintessential winner song (5:45).
